So I've been told by someone that my 2 year old daughter had been my mother in a past life.

The other night as I was snuggling in bed. I had been in a very light trance state (I have a tendency to focus on my breathing right before I fall asleep to help me with my dreams), and out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of a hawaiian woman's image superimposed over my daughter.

Nothing scary, very sweet image, but she was gone in an instant.

At first I thought, since my daughter has a Hawaiian name (no, we're not Hawaiian), that perhaps it was an image of who she might have been when she was my mother.

Then I thought, perhaps she is a guide for me or my daughter.

I've been thinking a lot of her and keep wondering who she might be.

The first thought I was thinking was it could be your daughters' spirit guide, but yeah, it could also be her past life image that you were seeing. *shrugs* Interesting.
