Somewhat recently I've been trying to informally meditate before I fall asleep. This mainly means I pay attention to what I am seeing more than anything. I've been getting two interesting things:

1) I had the thought (half asleep) of getting a tattoo of a black dog on the mound of my hand right below my thumb. I did a quick search on both and a black dog is usually an omen of death and that mound indicates your relationship (romantic only I think?) in palmistry. Not good. In my way of not believing that my husband will die or we will otherwise break up, I had another experience with a black dog and it did not result in death. It was about fear though and I was not supposed to cross paths with it or else something bad would happen but the experience as a whole was very transformative. I would say that it was the beginning of my very strong sense of spirituality. I really hope it doesn't mean death

2) During these mini meditations I have been getting what is being called "downloads". The first one was in the palm of my hands and I was told that I can now heal. The other time was through the top of my head and it looked like little tic tacs of light being floated down. Maybe I'll end up with magic powers

Could you explain what downloads are and how do you know you are experiencing them? I've heard it mentioned before but i dont really know what it is.
The black dog could just be showing you your fears about your relationship/ husband. I'm sure it's nothing bad

I hope so!

The only way I know I am experiencing them is visually seeing the light. The first one, light entered the palms of my hands and the second one was as I described. Also my intuitive knowing explained them as "downloads". The second one was more clear that it was a download because of the tic tac shaped lights entering through the top of my head but otherwise I wouldn't have known w/o being told what it was.

I really don't know what they are yet. They said the first one was so that I can heal. I don't know if that is physical pain or emotional and I don't feel different so who knows. The second one I have no clue and wasn't told. Right now I am sort of getting that it is for wisdom. I see it that I've been out of touch with this stuff for so long that once I made a connection the powers that be had a whole lot of stuff I needed. Sort of like when that message on your computer pops up to update your software or antivirus.

I think I read somewhere online about a dog symbolizing loyalty. At least that's what comes to my mind first.
