In my mid to late teens I had a number of what I call reoccurring "serial dreams" where each time I had the dream a little was added each time. I had about half a dozen or so of these dreams over approx 8 to 12 months.
The dream in full My family were taking me to a circus. The tent was at the top of a very steep hill (with a road) on one side and almost cliff on the other side. Once inside we watched a beatiful white horse with pink feathers and plooms prancing and bowing and so on. Later as the horse continued to prance around the ring and monkey dressed in a red jacket and red hat and tassle entered and started performing tricks and accrobatics on the horses back as it kept prancing. After some time the horse tripped, the monkey jumped to safety and the horse fell against the tent wall (on the cliff side). The wall gave way and the horse tumbled helpless down the cliff. At the base of the cliff was a magnificent white unicorn (with I think a gold horn). I had the impression that the unicorn was the last of it's kind. I then had a close up look at the unicorns eyes and in his eyes I could see the immage of the horse still tumbling (and dying). The unicorn was crying as the horse tumbled. And then the dream ended. I like to think that this dream was some sort of "coming of age" type thing. Loosing my innosence, leaving the "fantasy", free world of childhood and moving into a more ridgid, ordered "factual" world of adulthood. What are your thoughts? Is there more to this dream that I am not aware of? B. |
