most of my experiences with "ghosts etc" has been around my dad, i dont know what it is, but the house i lived in as a child had very negative energy in it, especially the basement, I had much trouble going down there as a child, he lived down there also for a while, after my parents were seperated. but when we turned it into a tv room, it wasnt long before we had to leave, with the lights flickering and the tv turning on and off etc.
once i dreamt of fire burning from that room up into the next floor, just one big fire ball in the middle of the room :/ thats when he was living there.

when i had to move in with my dad, we first lived in this small flat, i had most of my worst experiences there, like cupboard doors opening etc, and after going to bed feeling someone sitting on my chest, we didnt live there for long, and the new place we lived there wasnt so much experiences.

my dad is basically a very very depressed person, he has much trouble with his health and alcohol, it has always been very difficult to be close to him, he is also religious, you wouldnt really think that when you meet him, but he has a picture and rosery beads etc, i guess he worked too much to go to church.

my mum told me once that she had a psychic friend that saw dark shadows around him, she is known to over exaggerate, but not to lie, she doesnt like him so much hehe

he has told me about a house he lived in as a child, which was haunted, he said a few scary stories that i cant fully remember, im pretty sure that he wasnt making them up as a bedtime story either.

im very nervous actually about him coming to visit, I havent seen him for so many years, he is planning on visiting, i really wonder how its gonna go, i hope he doesnt bring anything with him to our new house :/

can people have negative spirits following them? like being cursed or something? he isnt a bad person or anything, but he seems to be very messed up :/

does he believe in psychic stuff? maybe if he does if you took him to a good psychic who could tell you what it is about. i guess there are 3 possibilities that i can see. One, he has a dark spirit hanging around him that is affecting him. Two, that he has a dark spirit hanging around him that idrawn to him because of his depression. Or three, the dark shadow this woman saw was actually his depression... sort of looking like a dark shadow around him.
Depression can make people more succeptable to things, illness and stuff so i could imagine that maybe he is more open to and spiritual activity.

he has been to a psychic many times, so yeah he believes in things like that, I also have much problems with depression, (i guess everyone does these days lol),
I think maybe he must be drawing these negative spirits towards him, I am also pretty sensitive to things like that too, so when i was living with him I had to deal with it too, i dont actually think my dad experienced much himself from these places though, i think i experienced the most :/

I don't know if this will be of any help but... I have a friend who is somewhat of a medium. She's a ghost magnet in better words. I'm not. When ghosts and me cross paths, it's purely accidental. When we're together in old places, she'll get a slight feeling about something, but I'll see the man in the riding outfit. Or we'll both hear the same bells ringing, only I hear them several times more often. She's not quite sure how she got to be in that position, but she told me once she thinks her mom and sister have the same sort of draw, but she hasn't been able get them to talk about it. Her mom is also very religious, and had some substance abuse problems in the past as well...

She described to me once the same thing of having the sensation of someone sitting on her chest, choking her, pulling her out of bed. It was a nasty spirit she had a hard time getting rid of, but I'm not quite sure how she did it. For the most part now, she has a sense of humor about it, and just says something like "whatever you're looking for, it's not here, it's only me."

Sometimes energies can follow a person when they are at their worst. It's like a neutral attachment. Usually by an energy that does not know they need to move on.

Sometimes a cleansing of the home is a good start.
