Awww passing warmth in a jar! Ok I dont know if this helps... especially with your arthritis, BUT double up on long johns, and use pocket hand warmers, heated gloves and heated mittens I think they have it for toes also Make sure you keep your nose and mouth covered also.

When your all bundled up, to where you are about to tip over sigh and think We are living on this earth, and this is mother nature at her best lol.

Sorry But as I was typing I had a flash back to when I bundled my sons up so bad that one of them actually tipped over becouse he couldnt move his legs right in his snow suite, and he was top heavy with extra sweaters! lol Bad mother I am I dropped to the floor laughing! I know he didnt get hurt he was padded!! ROFL

How do you learn to like winter? Look at the beauty of it I happen to love all 4 seasons where I am. I love seeing the snow (I just cant tell hubby lol... he is like you, but he works in the elements of weather)

I look at each season with purpose. Each one is like gods painting to me .

Driving down a country road after a snow, an April shower, hot summer day, and in the fall... I swear I can do the same road every day yet it looks so diffrent with each season!

The Summer is day excursions to farms, and days at sea ports to see the boats. Pool, barbecues and family gatherings.

Fall is halloween! lol gorgeous changing of the leaves.. being amazed on how some of my roses are still blooming, and then there are the Mums

Ahh winter! Cozy Fireplace, cooking those comfort foods lol stews soups lol.
Watching my family plow and shovel.. Then body slam into the mounds of snow lol. Pups chasing and catching snow balls lol. Hot choclate to warm you up! Laughing at yourself when you fall in the snow (as long as its soft snow lol) Snow angles! (I had a few people in a 5 star restaurant once see me make a snow angle in there outside garden area after a storm lol. As I was walking in laughing they walked out and made there own!) lol Hubby didnt know if he should laugh... or pretend he didnt know me! He laughed! rofl

So how do you learn to love winter?? Enjoy it while it is here becouse like all things it will pass Spring will be right around the corner! Dress warm Life is to short to "rush" the seasons! My #2 son is actually allergic to the cold! (it can be very dangerous for him) But he loves winter! He goes sledding skying. He dresses warm ( most of the time) We should have stock in Benadryl He gets huge hives on his body, face and in his lungs if he isnt careful. But he doesnt let it stop him He was all bundled up and went sledding last week Sky pants to keep him dry lol.

Know that all things are quite, getting ready to bloom in the spring! Try and see what mother nature brings us with each season If you cant find your Joy in winter ...... Then Create it!
