With animal totems like spirit guides you have ones that are with you for life and others and come and go. Great book to pick up Ted Andrews - "Animal Speak" ![]() |

I had another dream the other night about a hegdehog that can crawl along walls haha,i thought oh i like this,as i love hedgehogs and would love to see them, and so i thought it was really nice.Next i was helping to pull this badger out of a hole it was to big for lol.So my total now is about 6-7 animal spirit guides. And yes i know not all of the are with me all the time.So what is you total amount, you don`t have to say which ones but just how many you have got.

From everything I read you have 9 spirit guides
You main ones are the ones you associate the most with and are usually the ones you ending up collecting things on. They represent the left side (the male side) and the right side (female). There are also North,South,East,West, Above,Below and Within. There are many meditations that you can do and the internet has a bunch these days. Look under Animal Totems. I think if you search on here you should be able to find posts about them as well. Check under the search section. |

CathyO, I was just wondering how I could figure out which ones are my spirit guides? I love all animals! My favorite ones that come to mind are lions, tigers, (no not bears lol), elephants, pandas, and horses. But not sure if any of these are a spirit guide for me. Thanks! |

Havng said that I do believe when animals are shown to us, we can take their innate animal characteristics and apply them to a part of our lives. For instance, the hedgehog may be revealing it's protective and defensive attributes, indicating this is how you are looking at a certain situation. As it's seen crawling along the wall, perhaps this suggests that your actions are restricting your potential to overcome this situation. A badger is a hardy animal and black and white. This could be suggesting that you persevere and continue to move forward with a strong determination to seek out the truth rather than looking at things at face value. I hope this is helpful Carl. |

Ahh Skye.. but are you sure you don't? From what I understand we actually can reincarnate as animals!
![]() ![]() Laura I don't have any animal spirit guides. Animals don't have the gift of speech, nor are they able to understand our level of conciousness even in the material world, therefore, I don't see how they can be a classed as a spirit guide. |

Ahh Skye.. but are you sure you don't? From what I understand we actually can reincarnate as animals! In my original post, I didn't say animals can't communicate, I said they can't speak - either in the physical world or in the spirit world. I have brought a number of beloved animals through for their owners during a reading session, however the communication came from my guide or a known communicator to the person, not the animal. However, I do understand what you are saying regarding your pet wanting his food. Most, if not all domestic animals have their own little ways of communicating with us and letting us know what they want. For instance, if they are hungry they have learnt that their loving masters will feed them rather than them having to use their instinct and go out and hunt for their meal, so will let their owners know somehow. If and when an animal is present in our lives there may be a reason for it's appearance. In considering their personal, behavioural characteristics, we can often learn what the significance is and then apply it to our lives so as to help overcome certain situations or challenges that we are dealing with. Now, as to whether humans can re-incarnate into animals or not, I wouldn't know. What I do wonder if this is possible is, how does re-incarnating into an animal help the evolution of our soul? According to Silver Birch, - a Spiritual Teacher and Philosopher - he says, animals do not re-incarnate, although he does state that there is a theory about the transmigration of souls. I don't know if you have read any Silver Birch books or not Laura. I find them interesting. The books I have read to date have been enlightening and contain many words of wisdom for all humanity. |
