Default Id like some guidance please x
Unfortunately my partners uncle died this afternoon

He was a great guy

Well I fell out with my partners mum. We havent seen each other for 5 months.
She disliked me big time for all the things I said about her on a parenting forum (I told her she couldnt see my kids ever again in a fit of rage one day eeeek) which some kind person snooped on and told her. So you know how it goes... I say one thing, some person reads something else, and goes back and feeds the goat. In other words its like chinese whispers. Basically esculated what we actually fell out in the first place over.
So my partners mum has told her sisters and what have ya ie whats gone on so they are all gunning for me.

Now its my partners uncle who was married to one of these sisters.

I would like to go the funeral when the arrangements have been made. But it will be the first time I will have seen my partners side of the family since this all kicked off.

Under the cir***stances do you think I should refrain from going? Part of me things its the wrong place and the wrong time to see them, but I also would like to pay my respects to my partners uncle. He was such a nice man and I knew him even before I got involved with my partner.

I know the family are going to have more on their minds than if Im in the audience, but would I even say anything and offer condolences if I do go?

I knew this time would come as he has been poorly for a while.

Man you are having some bad luck,
I know what it feels like when your going away and only have your truck not starting, but get your 4by looked right over from a mechanic, so you know what needs fixing etc....
