Default any eckhart tolle fans?
i'm new here and just wanted to start off with two of my favorite eckhart tolle quotes which reflect my experience for 100%:

1)Here it becomes obvious that the human ego in its collective aspect as "us" versus "them" is even more insane than the "me", the individual ego, although the mechanism is the same. By far the greater part of violence that humans have inflicted on each other is not the work of criminals or the mentally deranged, but of normal, respectable citizens in the service of the collective ego. One can go as far as to say that on this planet "normal" equals insane. What is it that lies at the root of this insanity? Complete identification with thought and emotion, that is to say, ego!

2)"In the quest for enlightenment, is being gay a help or a hindrance, or does it not make any difference?

...the realization that you are 'different' from others may force you to disidentify from socially conditioned patterns of thought and behavior. This will automatically raise your level of consciousness above that of the unconscious majority, whose members unquestioningly take on board all inherited patterns. In that respect, being gay can be a help. Being an outsider to some extent, someone who does not 'fit in' with others or is rejected by them for whatever reason, makes life difficult, but it also place you at advantage as far as enlightenment is concerned. It takes you out of unconsciousness almost by force.

On the other hand, if you then develop a sense of identify based on your gayness, you have escaped one trap only to fall into another."
