Default Inspiring Quotes And Insights
I love inspiring quotes and I'm sure that among all of us here we have enough to quickly brighten a "bad day"...

So...please share quotes and life insights that inspire you here. Also feel free to share a short story or your own insights to the quote...the insights help as much as anything else.

If you've learned a lesson (even if it's the hard way) and feel like sharing please do so here! Who knows the lessons you've learned the hard way may save someone else on here a lot of pain.

Thanks!

Trust Yourself

Alright it may not count as a quote but I just want to say anytime you're having a bad day or feel like beating yourself up -- don't!

Anytime you're in doubt listen to the little voice inside of you. We have such a strong tendency to ignore the little voice...I think the reason is a fear of failure. It's a funny thing because usually we know that deep inside it's the little voice that's right but we don't want to risk being wrong and we end up ignoring the little voice.

Then we spend hours, days, months and years agnozing about little things and asking questions that we already know the answers too.

Save yourself a lot of stress...just trust yourself. Believe in yourself.

I'd like to offer an insight. I'm learning to recognize & synthesize the different aspects of personality & also oneness with others. I'm finding that when I forget to meditate or at least remind myself during the day I start getting moody & more irritable. I feel it's important to connect with both left & right sides of the brain & for me, since I'm predominantly a yang/rational/left brainer -lol- it's valuable to connect with my recessive yin/spiritual/right brain side, as well. That's where meditation or spirituality comes into it. I suppose that's even why I'm in this forum.

Lovely!

Here's my 2 cents for the day

When you're emotionally full, hurt and angry and want to yell at someone...please don't!

You might just end up going home to realize that the person you wanted to yell at didn't deserve your anger...or atleast not the extent you wanted to "get back" at them.

It's such a funny thing that most of us can control our angers when it comes to strangers but as soon as we see someone we love (like our family and closest friends) we can sometimes tend to overreact and blame them for things they had nothing to do with!

Here's something really powerful for you. It's something I learned from Dan Millman's Everyday Enlightenment CD

Communicate with your heart. Anytime you're in a tough situation, are having problems communicating or just want to tell someone how much you love them. Just shift your focus to the heart, feel what you want to say and then say it. The person won't melt all of a sudden but they will feel something.

I've tried this numerous times and I know it always works. Sometimes the result is visible very quickly...a burned out, stressed out person who's complaining may grow silent and peaceful very quickly when you do it!

Love,

Mystic

Another one

A lot of people starting into spirituality and listening to their Intuition ask how do I know I'm hearing my guides and not just making stuff up? How do I know this is my intuition not just me going crazy

Here's a tip:
Listen to your feelings at the moment. Are you at peace with yourself? I can guarantee you that if you are feeling an immense feeling of peace and love. If you are feeling the silence inside....you are definitely NOT making it up!

And even if you aren't feeling that at the moment...just relax a little and try again...do you get the same feeling again?

Love,
