When doing psychometry readings I have found that lately spirits come through to give messages to their loved ones. Is this usual and does this make me a medium

Funny you should say that Cards etc are only tools, I recenlty started to learn tarot and the other day I was sitting down by my computor thinking i should get on with learning them, when I heard a voice (in my head) saying "You do not need the cards". I felt that I was being told that I can do it without the cards.
