Default when is it the best time????
Hi
I was just wondering when the best time to meditation, and regularly????? the only quite time I have is either after my 2 year old goes to bed, and that's between 7 - 8 pm... Or when I'm ready to go to bed???? It's just I'm exhausted at night,

Or I am awaken every morning around 5am, by this really loud bird... lol so would it be a good time them, before the house wakes up for the day?

Blessings

Hi Lee,

I know exactly how you feel! To me, the best time is when everyone's gone to bed and i can just relax by myself. But that's not always possible..

Anyhow here's some tips

1. Start with little chunks of time.. It's sure hard to find an hour to meditate so start off with 5 minutes or so a day and gradually increase it...sometimes things just do fall in place nicely when we do it incrementally.

2. Everyday can be a drag at times...try every other day or every monday or just any day when things work.

3. Don't get disappointed about not spending too much time meditating or not getting results fast enough..you know, we all have unique situations and we're all trying our best given the situation. Sometimes we can get too hard on ourselves!

I posted a meditation thread earlier this week. To me it is as important as brushing your teeth!!

Even if you do it for 5 minutes a day. Do it!. If the kids are stuck to my legs I tell them. " I have to go to the bathroom!! give me 5 minutes!". I go in the bathroom, sit on the toilet and meditate. Even if its just the breathing technique.

If I have time I will sit upright on the couch and put in a meditation music CD and do my own visualization. It has done wonders for my psychic development.

Hugs

Leeslight - a very good question! Mystic's suggestion has worked out for me. There are times when I do get frustrated as I get too exhausted to meditate (I fall asleep!!!) by the end of the day. One thing I've learnt is not to get in bed if I want to meditate/pray. If the kids are awake I tell them -'now it's mama's time for her secret prayers!' - surprisingly it works!!

Is that little bird trying to tell you something? How is it for you if you start your day @ 5:00am? I love to meditate or listen to Doreen Virtue's ' clearing your chakra' CD -in the morning - my entire day goes great!

Good Question star_light? Is that little bird with the big voice trying to tell me something????

The bird began a few days before me and (my now ex) split... then when he left it was like the bird got louder and louder.... soooo much family enraged emotions and confusion about the whole affair.....

During this time, I couldn't concentrate long enough to think, let alone meditate.. lol

But now things are a lot calmer and this bird is less vocal now, but At five I did hear him.. but it was like this time it was less voice tress lol if that makes any sense lol

I acknowledged the bird within my thoughts, bid the bird a goodmorning and then nothing.....

I tried to do a five minute meditation then, still my mind is un settled, I asked the angels to protect me in their wings to give me peace and protection for the day....

Blessings
