It warms my heart, soul, and spirit every time I learn of another who is becoming conscious of their spiritual nature. “Spiritual nature” – a word too often connected to “religions” – those “religions” accepted today – I am not speaking of “them”, but of a true realization.

I know that there are many who have “felt” like there is more than what society allows us to communicate. The Truth has been suppressed for years by The Establishment – that is what I call society, the government and the religions as a group, which they are, yet connected secretly, while creating the illusion of being separate. I recommend 3 movies that give clues to many realities: 1. The Third Miracle 2. The Illusionist 3. The Celestine Prophecy… Just movies? Not at all – these came from peoples minds and our minds are connected with our spirits, even when we deny this fact. The Wizard of Oz is another one that keeps hammering on my spirit – “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.” This movie also provides a realization – we all have it already – stop searching elsewhere – it is inside us waiting to be discovered – stop looking to the illusions of the “Wizards”… Just a man behind a curtain manipulating the controls to rob people of their energies to supply his own greed for power of control.

Don’t let The Truth frighten you and don’t let the illusions lead you away from The Truth. To discover The Truth, look where your enemies put their efforts to guide you away from – The Truth is there. The Truth will free you from the illusions that hold you captive. “They” don’t want you to discover freedom – for obvious reasons. Let your spirit guide you and be careful – there is more than one dark hole out there. Learn how to fill your spirit with “The Light” and all will be well.

I think most people don't communicate because they don't know how.
They never take the time to try.
It's so much easier to sit on the couch and let the TV entertain.
I know my grandmother and mom was psychic, in what ways I'm not sure because I was never interested in it. I remember my grandmother telling me stories when she was small. I shrugged it off and focused on the new technologys of the day, T.V. Electric Guitar, etc.
As we have progressed, if that's what you want to call it, I think most of the people, myself included, got lost, spiritually and psychicly.
This past year several minor things lit a fuse in my soul. I'm more open to the idea and not a skeptic anymore. Thus, I have some very minor experiences, but to me they are as large as a baby first letting loose of the coffee table and taking a few first steps. What a thrill!
All the people I know have no idea what it's all about, they are wrapped up in so many other aspects of self that the mere word psychic bring thoughts of shamans dancing around a fire shaking pebble filled gords and chanting. Weird is what they call Syliva Browne and others who are well known.
So few people really do take the time to develope the ability that we all have in us. We are all connected in some way. Practice, like anything else is the key.

People who are holistic are a cautious bunch
They can go into thespian mode to get there point across
And to shield themselves away
Very few are free to express themselves without being ridiculed
So they can be an over cautious lot

Hi!
I'm brand new. I come from a skeptical, scientific background. As I have matured I am looking at the world around me with different eyes. I joined a paranormal group but am still left feeling empty. Communication or at least acknowledgement of the dead, the spiritual world, whatever it may be (and I believe it is there) is what I am craving. Also, since I was a very little girl ( that must be one of the most over-used sentences in psychic lingo) I have felt like I understood - could almost read the minds of anyone I came in contact with. It was scary and I shut a lot of it down. I want to regain that ability and maybe expand it to include real pyschic abilities. For those of you in the "know" does this sound like the ramblings of an overachiever?

Welcome to the forum and I hope you find what you are seeking for here.....

I always believed everyone is gifted.. some times we have no control if and when we want to use it.... some of us want to and so we use methods to awaken our abilities.... (Its doesn't happen over night but it does happen)... Others push there gifts way back and deny it.. but that is up to the individual.

My mother ignored me when I tried reaching out to her wanting answers to my questions and what I was experiencing.. so I kept it to my self and or wrote it down in a journal.

It comes easier when you can talk to and relate to other people... like those in these forums...

And so No you don't sound like an over achiever at all.... just normal

This sounds perfectly reasonable to me, not like overachieving.

I had similar experiences in my early life. I took a spiritual path and am now a Spirit Channel.

I would like to add to the wonderful posters above that while all of us have the "potential" to open these abilities, most are afraid of them. They dismiss their guides as silly thoughts in their heads and if someone who is a skeptic starts to hear voices in their head, their first trip is to the shrink. Its all about trusting your inner guidance, your soul. When I meet someone, I immediately know if I will like them or I won't. My energy mingles with theirs and if my energy comes back heavy and sticky, I know they have a lot of negative issues and I probably won't get along well with them.
