Hi angelwings, I fully appreciate and can understand your annoyance and frustration when this happens. I used to feel the same way years ago until I realised it was all down to ego.

With the greatest of respect and no slur is intended here on you. Ego not only wants but needs the feedback and acknowledgement from a sitter. After all a fair bit of time was spent on reading for them. The least they could do was say thank you, if nothing else.

This still happens but I have since learnt to accept it without question.
Perhaps there's many a reason why people don't give feedback to readers. At the end of the day the choice is theirs to make. My choice is to willingly give my time to be of service to others, whether I receive thanks or not. I think that's all any reader can do.

Hi Skye,

Thankyou for your feed back all it was, I don't actually have alot of time to give anyway because of work and young children. I will actually do anything for anyone but there does come a point when you have to stop feeling used. I have come across this before were I was addressing my ego when I thought I wanted to become a medium then I asked myself why do I want to become a medium then I realised it was something that I wanted for myself. my partner is developing at a church and going to mediation class and even though I enjoyed it and would like to go all the time I can't because of the children the time isn't right for me at the moment. I don't want to put a title on anything I do. I think this is when the ego does definitely come into it. I've always been very spiritual in my thinking and that will never change within me.

Thanks Again For Your FeedBack

Love and Light Angelswings

Also that person was only the third person I'd read for so I wanted the feed back to make sure that I was doing it right LOL.

Hi Angelswings, it was interesting to read your reply. I totally agree with your comment about not putting titles on any aspect of spirituality. It can often make one appear to be above themselves and thereby result in some sort of divide or separation with other people. In my opinion we are each on our own path and not one is above the other. We are all moving in the same direction towards the same goal if you like. The only difference I feel is that we are on different levels which is why we can be both a teacher and a student at the same time.

I know what you are saying about having little time what with work and children to tend to, time is very tight. When my children were small, I also found it difficult to have spare time and felt like you do about the time not being right.

I do hope your interest in spiritual things never fades as you seem a genuine person. Time flies by pretty fast and your children will soon be all grown up. Then you can come into your own and continue to build on the rappour you have achieved so far.

Hi. I am a new comer but I can completely understand what you are saying. I do have to agree with skye...they could have said thank you at least. I hope that you have better experiences with readings and Im sure there are other people out there that would appreciate the reading.

Hi Everyone,

I have said that but I have recently given another reading out. I don't mind doing it but all I ask is that a thankyou would be appreciated and. Also another thing that has to be considered is that a person hasn't just joined the site to get a free reading and then maybe doesn't participate on the forum.

Hi Skye,

I must say that, that was beautiful what you had written. It is true I think the greatest honour of all is to help others on their spiritual paths to serve is considered one of the highest gifts of all not looking for something yourself but giving of yourself to others. Yes we all are teachers and scholars and do you know something Skye I wouldn't have it any other way.

I've been approached by people in PM to do readings for them too and it is a general rule to not do readings through that means of requesting. I've made exceptions when I felt it was right but it is rare. If I've interacted with them before and I consider them forum acquaintances then I will definitely read for them but a "stranger" is another situation. My take is that there is a standard that is very clear to receive readings and you need a certain number of posts to establish yourself in the forum. Then you post in the practice den. Many people are not as spiritually minded as we are and sometimes are just looking to get something for free. Now, I've been and still am in a place where I cannot pay for a reading even though I would like one but I still go through the proper channels. Also, often when you do free readings people are not as invested in change as someone who will pay. I'm included in this too. For example, you need help and are willing to pay. You will take the time to get a feel for a reader, make sure you are spending your money wisely, etc. Just this action makes you more invested in the change process.

I help many people on the side for free even though I do not have time. The people who have been more interactive have found me more serendipitously. But I've not received feedback or interaction even when going through the Practice Den. I wish I had with one particular person because I realize now I interpreted something wrong. Anyway, gratitude is a HUGE aspect of spirituality and the least someone can do. But I do not spend a lot of my time honoring those requests for that very reason. I have a small child too and the route to one's change and awakening is not always through me. People have many different routes to receive help. So there is no need to take on the masses and do only what you can.

But if I get a request through PM I will ask them to request it through my website which will create a bit more of an investment for them. Often I will not hear from them but it is a much more reciprocal interaction when they do go through a little extra "work".

Hi Lovelight,

No this person was a member but had under 20 posts becuase they approached me I thought I'd do it for them. I know that there is the practice den but some of the details that come up in a reading might be personal or private and this is the only reason for me doing it via PM. I have to also say I do not do ANY Readings for the exchange of money I never ask anyone for anything. I do it just for helping someone else who may need some guidance in their lives hopefully through the use of cards and the right words and I could really help the person in question.

In the Practice Den you can always respond via PM to maintain confidentiality.

Hi ChicaMia,

The thing is someone PM's me asking me for a reading I will do one for them I no why they PMed me because they couldn't get on the practice den and that is what hurt the most that they went through me to get what they wanted then didn't even get back in touch oh well I've lived and I've learned but I will probably make the same mistake again because I'm dead soft hearted LOL.

Poor angels wings

When you give so much of yourself
And are then disappointed with your fellow man
People are complicated things
And do not always react in the way you wish
But that's the way of life

Look after yourself
And try not to expect too much of other people
They do not always react in a way that you may like
Its up to you to live up to your own morals
But don't always expect others to be as you

Hi Hermie,

I have since got a PM off of that person so I have apologised to them for not realising that they have problems stopping them from giving me feed back the guilt lies with me and now I feel really sorry for not understanding.
I'm the guilty one!!!

Hi ChicaMia,

Thanks for the feed back I feel that I was too quick to jump the gun I must learn to accept a bag full of patience. This is a lesson for me to learn the problem lies with me not that person and I'm truly very sorry for this.

Hi angelswings
I've just joined the forum and thought I should jump in.
Thank you for sharing your experiences - the ups and downs - and showing your humanity. We are all travelling and on the way we get hung up on small details.
You seem like a giving, sweet person - and I felt inspired to repeat to you, what a friend said to me -
'go easy on yourself love. Its ok.'
Every time I fall, I whisper these words, and it softens my heart towards my 'mistakes' - that are, as we know, blessings in disguise....

Default No More Readings For New Comers Off Me!!!
Hi Everyone,

Someone just lately got in touch with me and asked for a reading even though they only had a couple of posts I kindly oblidged me being the person that I am. That person never got in touch with me to give me feed back or anything I feel really hurt by it and I do not wish to give any more new comers any readings if anyone over 25 to 30 posts wants a reading they can send me a PM no problem.
