I have recently been through a devestating experience in my life, and I have been meditating and trying to connect with my angels and guides, but I feel so detached, unable to feel their presence.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to relax and open up my heart to feeling more connected? I am fairly inexperienced when it comes to meditation and visualisation, but I want to get better, more intuned..... |

hi, roses - it is so ironic that i saw your post tonite. i've been thinking for the past couple of days that i needed to post my concerns on here in hopes of getting suggestions on what to do.
i know exactly what you mean. i have had two traumatic experiences within a four year period, and i just feel lost - unconnected is a great way to describe it. everything is off-kilter. i've lost my center, and i can't seem to get it back. i don't mean to take over your thread, but i will be watching to see the responses you get. i'm sure there will be some good advice that can perhaps help me as well. peace be the journey! |

The feelings you are feeling is normal and don't allow them to upset you in anyway. Everyone will go through what they need to because it's an experience. It doesn't mean that you lost someone forever it simply is an experience. Yes, that is a tuff way to put our life right now but think deep down. What you have lost is only temporary and is waiting for you once you have crossed the same path they have.
Search deep inside yourself and release all those emotions each time you feel frustrated, wether during meditation or during normal times of the day. Release it and allow your self to understand why you feel that way. Learning your frustration is key in where you desire to be. Perhaps you haven't lost someone and it's money related. It doesn't matter the cause of your feelings as long as you can understand yourself and why you feel that way. Once you start to see yourself a bit clearer then you will finally start seeing some of that frustration slowly fade into a more positive aspect. Also, always believe in yourself. You may have doubts that you are being communicated to by a higher level/spirit. Don't underestimate your ability to do what anyone else can. We are all one and can communicate just like I am typing now. This may sound simpler than some drawn out way of how to meditate or how to do something special. It takes you and only you to find that spark within and get rid of that which brings you down. We experience many things in life and some perhaps we would rather not. Ask yourself why you experienced and how to move forward and better your life from it. These are all things for you to ask yourself during a meditation or even when you just start asking why why why. Start from within and work outwards. A good meditation is one where you don't feel like you have to do anything. Just simply calming your mind and body to relaxation mode is awesome. Then you can progress even more over time. It's something that you will learn and each person has their own unique meditation. Hope this is helpful. Love and blessings |

I agree with Caps..
Here's how I view the situation.. We are all connected to the spirit world (it's inside us!) the key is whether or not we acknowledge the connection. I'm not just saying this because it's cute and makes you feel good, I'm saying it because I've found it to work all the time. Which makes the problem very simple.. All you have to do is watch out and acknowledge yourself when you do/think something spiritual (based on what your definition is).. For example, if it were me, I might acknowledge the flowers and acknowledge myself for noticing it on a busy morning or I may catch myself helping/serving others and acknowledge that.. A good meditation for this specific situation is the garden meditation. I'm positive there's a version of it on the board. What makes garden a good meditation is it's based on your interaction with the spirit world. I'm not sure where it is..but try the search, if you don't find it, let me know and I'll go look for it. Blessings, love and Light Mystic |

Roses
Isnt that just the way! When we feel down or have had a bad emotional 'jolt' we cut off our connection to spirit. They are still there, still guiding & loving, we are just not aware. Speak to them all the same as they can hear you even if you cannot hear them. Do not rush or try to force a reconnection, simply heal, know that they are there & it will return in time. Lotus |
