My sister is travelling the world....so I am trying to learn about each place she visits!!!! hoping you guys in Canada will be able to help me out when she gets there!!!!!!!

Probably not a good idea. I remember when we did a Canada quiz once and you scored more than some of us Canadians. (couple years ago)

Almost summer!! Yipieee!

I like to learn something new each summer..do something Ive never done...Just a fun thing.. I'm thinking of learning a little bit of French this summer

Anybody else planning to do something new? Something exciting?

Hi there Meanderthal and Mystic

It's interesting that the subject of flying has come up. Just a few days ago I was driving past an old airfield which is used for 'Gliders' up in the Cotswolds. Motorless aircraft, you know the things I mean? When I was a young scout (long time ago), I visited the very same airfield and was able to ask a glider pilot what was it like to fly one. He replied "it's the closest thing to flying as if you had your own wings". I never forgot that, and so I've made enquirees into having some lessons. Just thought I'd share that.

I think gliders are interesting as well. My cousin flew one when I was quite young. Was I jealous of him...I'm going to fly one before I die..
