I always felt disconnected from the Tarot cards, though there were a handful of times when I could feel the energy as I was reading. I just couldn't seem to 'connect' on a level that I enjoyed using them for some reason.

I'm going through some tests for some health related stuff, and my husband, trying to ease my stress a little, and knowing that I didn't care for the Tarot cards went out and purchased Healing with the Angels Oracle cards and The Faeries Oracle. I happily spent some time with both sets and found that I was drawn strongly to the Faeries Oracle. I stayed up half the night with them. Then I couldn't wait to learn more about them when I woke up the next day. That NEVER happened with Tarot. Ever.

Tarot was what I was taught by my husband, and I felt a little strange telling him about the Oracle cards as if perhaps they were knock off's of the tarot decks he so loves, but I can honestly say that I wish I had gotten the Faeries Oracle a year ago when I first learned of it. I feel like I've made more progress in understanding, reading and connecting with this deck in a week than I did with the Tarot in years of trying. -- Is that odd? Should someone be able to connect with both Tarot and Oracle cards to be a good reader, or is it like everything else: Everyone has their strengths?

I bought some Tarot cards well over a year ago and only really started using them within the past month. I didn't feel drawn to them, but like you, felt drawn to healing with the fairies (i have that deck) i also felt drawn to playing cards. I still have that pull to the other decks but also feel that about tarot now.
so, if it is abnormal then i am weird too

Hi Everyone,

I can't use tarot, I find them to complex and I just cant connect with them. However, I have the collection of Doreen Virtue cards & I have done countless readings with them. They are very gentle cards & I look forward to getting Doreens new set, which sadly is not avalible in the UK until April.

Keep to the cards that you feel comfortable with, when I read mine for people the energy is wonderful, so much divine love. It's lovley.
