Hi Mystic,

It was a hard year as my father was ill for quite a long time. On the go, taking care of affairs and such. He passed away in February 2006 and this will be the first Christmas without him.

Hopefully 2007 will begin anew.

Merry Christmas

My husband was sick most of the year. Things are somewhat better now.
I am looking forward to the New Year.

Hi Karenlc,

Glad to hear that your husband is doing better. I am trying to spread all the joy of Christmas as I think my father would have loved that.

Merry Christmas

It's been up and down. The ups have been really up and the downs have been really low, but I think I have learnt some important lessons about letting go and forgiveness. Ooh, and being nice to myself. Which I should definitely do more of.

Hmm, had a thought for a thread...

Hmm it was ups and downs...I moved to my new house in Aug,,something I had been dreaming of...
then, losing my uncle in september was probably the main thing that happened this year..in a way that changed my life in many ways and it was really hard dealing with it.
Ive also been under quite a lot of pressure in 2006 academically and so on...like I said..im still dealing with the loss and it's been really hard..

on the flip side, it was a great year spiritually...I can only be thankful!

I think I did a lot of spiritual growing,.....have a long, long way to go though. A lot of changes, not for the better, at work. Increase in the number of clients for readings. So, like most people, a lot of ups and downs. I have to admit, wasn't by far, one of the better years. So, I am anticipating the arrival of 2007

Hello Marianne,

When I read your post about spiritual growth I would have to say I have learned spritiual growth and also still learning.

It has kept me going in hard times and I look upon it as a blessing.

2006 was a difficult year for us both financially as well as emotionally. We suffered the loss of a family member, job security was uncertain and that brought a lot of changes related to finances, health insurance, etc... The difficulties did, however bring about a greater understanding of the fact that, it isn't always the event that is traumatic, as much as the way we choose to respond to the event. I've grown a lot spiritually these past two years. That laid the foundation for me to be able to accept the changes that occurred and move past them this year. I finally saw for the first time that faith manifests solutions.

Bless all of you who may still be struggling to find peace in your hearts for those you miss. They are always with you, just a thought and a smile away. The love is there as long as you remember them, though in time, the pain does surely fade.

With much love and hope for a much brighter 2007,

Disa

Hi Disa,

I can understand the loss of a loved one and I just love your comment:

"Bless all of you who may still be struggling to find peace in your hearts for those you miss. They are always with you, just a thought and a smile away. The love is there as long as you remember them, though in time, the pain does surely fade."

It touched my heart and I feel better knowing this.

Bless you and I am sorry for your loss.

2006 started off with hope. My dh's cancer was gone and we were looking forward to a good year. March and the cancer was back invading his liver and a new round of hospital visits started. We had to go away three times while he had things done and the last time in July they opened him up and found that the cancer had even spread to the newly regrown liver. Up until three weeks before he died on the 1st Dec he was still making things in his shed and we were living a life as normal as could be. We had a new baby granddaughter and our kids were all doing well. Life was good. We knew time was short so we fitted in as much as we could. The angels took him as I asked them to, gently. We have learnt a lot from 2006 - compassion, patience and calmness. I have learnt just how strong I am and I have learnt who my real friends are.

I had spiritual awakening this summer. Before then I didn't even know that I had Spirit Guides. I had some amazing spiritual experiences. This was the year of rebirth for me.

Hey guys, you have to live in Quebec. The driving is terrible. I always say to myself how the H*e.... did they get a driver's license. They drive like manics.

The polls say Quebec have the worst drivers ever. Of course, I am not included in the poll.

My 2006 newyear began with many losses and then i moved back home after 12 yrs, and i lost even more. But i had a cool summer job living at a camp w/ my daughter and it saved me! This website has also been a wonderful positive influence,THANKYOU!!! Then In the fall i jumped right into school and boy was that a challenge..along w/ the negative challenges @ home. My heart hurt! I'm getting stonger, and I celebrated the end of the year among friends and had a blast!!

$900 something...I appealed 2 of them...one of them was unappealable apparently...or they're just testing out a new law on me...the traffic police was after me last year...seriously, I was the only one they particularly targeted I am convinced...How come noone else got a ticket even when they speed way more than me?

Traffic tickets should be tax dedictible..you're donating to the police (government) anyway....

those new laws are brutal..I got one of them for failing to slow down for a fire truck..the only problem was that the truck was travelling on the opposite direction and I wasn't even on the left lane..I was on the middle lane and it was a perfectly barred highway..I have no clue why I got the ticket but apparently that one was un-appealable...
