I dont know where to start but to make it simple, my cousin's here and he's gone thru a very rough time recently. Abused by his wife really. Its rather crazy to get into details but...he's very upset and so are we. And mostly, its got my mom really upset...we all are, but mom especially. I'd be ever so grateful if i could request some prayers for cousin please. Theres a long long road ahead..and we have to start....it'll be a long joureny but Im sure we can do it. My mom and my cousin have always been so close...and I just don't know what to do.

My first husband was very abusive to me ...not only physically but mentally as well. I know the absolute pain he is going through...I will keep in my thoughts and prayers as he takes a long and very difficult journey towards healing.Blessed Be!!

My thoughts and prayers are there with you all.Mental abuse, yep, I know it, not nice. Can ing you down, and eak you. Been there, almost oke me, for a while I turned into a crazy person, checking over my shoulder all the time, afraid of being followed, couldnt go into crowded or enclosed place, panic attacks, uncontrolable crying.........Not nice, and the abuse from some one who 'loved' me. He tried to control me and bend my will, guess he did a good job. The saddest thing was that the 'sane' side of him could see what he was doing, and hated himself for it, but was in such a state that he was unable to stop. I know what you mean. He knows she loves him too, but, she is just too abusive and he loves her too but, theres nothing he can do. She's just insane so to say. Thank you for your wishes and prayers love. I am sorry to hear about your experience, why is it that every beautiful person in this world has to go thru some degree of abuse? physical or mental...

I told him if he ever hit me again, he'd better never ever go to sleep. After that it was many years of mental, emotionaland verbal abuse, except when he was sober. They are always sorry after the fact! Abuse is a vicious circle, and the invisable kind leaves the worst scars.BRI finally left when he started stalking me. That was frightening. He claimed to love me, but when I divorced him it didn't take him long to remarry. Now he has a big dark woman (who I really like) and who I bet will bode no nonsense. Guess he was just emotionally dependant on me.BRLove to you and your family, and of course my prayers are with you all. There is a long road ahead, but life on the other side. I am sorry to hear about your marriage hun. Yes, what you are saying makes perfect sense. It is so easy to fall victim of sweet talks, it is so easy to forgive when someone "looks" and "acts" sorry. But abusers always tend to do that. After the apologies, they are back to their normal ways. It can be sooo hard to realise that. Sometimes you just need a strong heart and not let "love" ruin your own life. Thank you for your prayers love. I feel for my cousin and for his wife too. They aren't divorced yet....and she loves him too (he says so)..I just wish none of them had to go thru this....Thank you for your prayers hunni

I've been there as well. Physical, mental, emotional. My ex drained me so much that I forgot who I was. I didn't even EMknowEM who I was. I didn't know what I liked to eat, what kinds of movies I liked, or what I liked to decorate my house with. Funny part?
