Well ok..i can kinda see guys piercing their nipples but...i dont know how any girl would think it'd be painless...

And I thought getting your tongue pierced was painful..sounds horrifc to me. I'd avoid piercings as much as i can..plus..it does nothing to you anyway..just causes pain and makes your chances of getting a good job kinda slim

haveafriend with heaps! I actually came to the piercing studio with
hertohave her nipple rings enlarged (shudder) and I sat in the
waitingroomwhere I, and the other people waiting, were treated to her
screamsofagony as they stretched the holes in her nipples (sorry
ifanyone'seating...heheheh). It honestly sounded more painful
thatchildbirth -more unnatural anyway. I think it's really sad
ifsomone has died from piercing. I guess itmakes sense - putting holes
inyour flesh is not natural and couldeasily lead to infection if
nottaken care of properly.Having said all of that, there is a part
ofme that would like a bellybutton ring. lol, I'm such a hypocrite.

My ex got her nipples pierced and she actually got sick for a few days. I regret getting my tongue pierced..but am glad it wasnt something like my eyeow..

I had my nose peirced when I was in my teens....wasn't popular then so it was done with a piercing gun...ouch. Have got my ears pierced 3 times....first time I was 6.....and a couple of tattoo's....(from my mis spent youth....) glad I can hide them away as they aren't too prominent though!!!!

TSS-(toxic shock syndrome) is nasty....can get it by using tampons too.....very like the flu at first but gets much worse

I have had my ears pierced once before i was old enough tosay no i guess lol...but that too, they arent right..i swear they just did it at home roflol...its kinda higher on my right than on my left...oh well..too scared to fix it tho lolol plus i dont think its noticable and really who cares if people do notice it as long as im comfortable with it lol.

I think tattoos are pretty (some of em)but like you said...its gotta be something you can easily hide when you want to...And for me well it has to look less scary lol...i'd love to have a butterfly or a mermaid somewhere but i cant think of the pain it'd be plus im not sure if id like it 5 years, a year or even a day later!

PIf body piercing did lead to the teen's death, it will underscore warnings from medical experts about the need to ensure such procedures are done by trained, experienced operators with sound infection control practices.PPThe St. John's teen, whose name has not been released, died Thursday after being admitted to hospital two days earlier "with medical problems that were quite complex," Dr. Simon Avis said Friday in an interview from St. John's.PPBut Avis said it is too early to say for certain that the apparent toxic shock syndrome arose from an infection at the site of the piercing.PPAn autopsy was performed, but other tests need to be conducted before the source of the staphylococcus infection can be pinpointed, he said. "We can't be absolutely sure that body piercing had anything to do with the infection."PPStill, Avis conceded that of the many possible origins of the toxic shock syndrome, "I think it would be fair to say that we're suspicious that that (body piercing) was the source of the infection, yes."PPToxic shock syndrome is characterized by sudden fever, chills, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle aches and rash, says the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Alright...most of you will know..these things are enough to scare me to death! I dont have a pericing or a tattoo even cuz they look PAINFUL! Why'd I cause myself more pain when already there's enough...anyhow...next thing...its really sad to see this happen. I feel sorry for the girl and her family..Still, who in their right mind would get their nipples pierced...i mean girls...what were you thinking!
