wow great video. thanks for sharing that. i agree, he was a genius. he was talking about the time period of 1945 to 2012 being a compressed miniature version of the time period beginning 4306 years ago which also ends in 2012. and in the compressed version he renaissance and the discovery of the new world and so on is yet to happen. wow! was this video filmed before the the time speeding up theory of the mayan calendar was presented? because i think it was dr. calleman that presented the mayan calendar theory of time speeding up and it wasn't that long ago that his book about it was published. which would mean that mckenna came up with this compressed time thing on his own, from another source, first. which would really put him high on my list of awesome geniuses if that is true.

this is obviously subjective, but i'd be interested in hearing some opinions. in the past few months or so, it feels like we've entered a new time period. i can't really explain it, but it feels like everything is changing faster and faster. i'm going to be a bit blunt here, and say that it looks like we're entering the final period of "inconvenience" before the harvest that ra mentioned. i'm pretty sensitive to this "collective emotion" of humanity, and to me it feels like i can cut through the tension in the air with a knife.

i must say that the contradictions of intense emotions at the moment is pretty crazy. not even 10 years ago where i live here in ny was overrun with drugs, crime, prostitution and violence. poverty combined with the introduction of crack, heroine and easily attainable guns was a powder keg. but now the majority of that storm seems to have passed over with only small remnant pockets here and there. segregation and racism is lightening up. racism, of course, has not disappeared. but more and more people are basing their decisions on the person alone and not making emotional decisions based on labels or colors. but the intensity you speak of is unmistakeably in the air. as if the thumb of oppression has now shifted to the air itself. like an invisible hand is slowly turning up the volume.

so it is a weird contradiction to experience the fact that things are simultaneously improving yet intensifying. people are shedding old skins like snakes, in order to stay centered and keep their sanity. and this seems to be happening at an ever accelerating exponential rate.

we are living in exponential times. the rate of acceleration right now is mind boggling. those who have seen "an inconvenient truth" are familiar with this graph:



for any exponentially growing quantity, the larger the quantity gets, the faster it grows. an alternative saying is 'the rate of growth is directly proportional to the present size'. the relationship between the size of the dependent variable and its rate of growth is governed by a strict law of the simplest kind: direct proportion. it is proved in calculus that this law requires that the quantity is given by the exponential function, if we use the correct time scale. this explains the name.

i just get the feeling that we will "red line" here sooner or later. but maybe to compare our universe to a man made car would be selling it far too short. but our 3d world does have limits. a 3d man made car would simply over heat and break down. but our universe is obviously not man made. so what will happen when our 3d world cannot endure this acceleration anymore? a consciousness shift? ascension? i feel like we are gonna blast off or something.

so i do believe that the intensity we are feeling is from this incredible exponential time period we are living in. can this keep up? something has got to give.

with the introduction of the world wide web it is like all of us have become like the god atlas. we are all carrying the knowledge of the entire world on our backs. and people either crack up and drop under that kind of pressure or they become centered and force themselves to get real with it all.

however with the population, we also have to remember that even though the population has grown so quickly, a lot of families were having from 5 - 10 kids, now its more like 1 - 3. so yes it will still grow, but hopefully slow down a bit! and then of course there are then "world domination" plans by the pharm companies and whatnot. why worry when we can just move on and up :d

it seems to be a matter of how fast knowledge is spreading. knowledge seems to be the key to our growth.

and the right knowledge is being fed to us, i believe alot of it is being 'downloaded'. i say that because how many people do we see out there who know nothing of universal love or law of one philosophy or any kind - that we know just awhile back they were perhaps the opposite in the direction they are now?

they have no idea of these things, and even without our influence by being ourselves, they seem to suddenly just know.

i keep using this quote from gandalf but it just matches everywhere: "there are other forces at work besides the will of evil".

i do believe the will of good is feeding us all this information. it is exciting exciting exciting!

its quite understandable how growth quickens. its not a matter of
1+1=(2)+1=(3)+1
its more
1+1=(2)+2=(4)+4=(8)+8=(16)+16=(32)+32... etc. lol or you can just multiply by two.

i also have come to peace and understanding of this shift, i feel nothing but happiness because i know there is no reason to fear. it may become so quick our minds struggle to catch up - and perhaps that would be the true inconvenience - but we will get there.

i believe inconvenience lies in shedding our old way of life, and stepping out of our comfort zone. we are comfortable having cell phones, we rely and depend on them, we love them even.

yet... to suddenly not need them? woa wait a minute, i like my gadgets! dont take them away from me! wahhhhhhhh

then we will see the upgraded 'gadgets' and we will learn quickly.
we just need to remember the things important to us, we can still keep, and still manifest. its our free will, our choice. if we want to still use that cell phone, we will be able to. we will just lag behind and as we watch others perform telepathy that cell phone will look less and less appealing

so true etguy, the line between dimensions is hardening. it seems like a tug-o-war is being played. this last full moon was a doosey based on my observations and talking with people. hopefully we will see an equally good side of the coin with the new moon. stay tuned.

i am not worrying at all. i just think it is a freaking amazing time to be livin'!

that graph can be applied to nearly anything that is accumulating today. the "global pool of money", which is all the money in the entire world, stood at about 35 trillion in the year 2000. well from the year 2000 to the year 2008 that number doubled! it only took eight years to double what took several hundred years to reach.

as you mentioned, technology is going freaking crazy. just a few years ago there was only 2.7 billion google searches a month. two years later there is 35 billion. that is an absurd increase. the amount of technical information is doubling every two years. so new technology students can't even get out of school without most of what they learned in their first year of school being out dated. a lot of what they teach in tech school is how to go about learning on your own so that you don't get left in the dust.

population growth is a given, of course. what you said is true for the more prosperous countries but the poorer countries are still pumping out litters of puppies for a better chance of the survival of the family. and anyway, even if there is only two kids per family that is still on an exponential accelerating curve.

and along with the money supply goes the exponential growth of the consumption of resources necessary to sustain the economy of a fractional reserve banking system. this, in my opinion, is the truth behind the collapse of this kind of system we have. unless our system can keep up a 3% exponential rate of expansion every year it will collapse. that growth depends on consuming raw materials and poor little planet just cannot continue that accelerating rate of growth anymore. it is a flawed, finite system. if you want to see a nice video about this search for "money as debt" in googlevideo.

and for the record, purple dragon, i am not scared in the least bit. i am totally excited to be living right now. it is going to be fun to watch the fireworks show that is sure to be coming.

i forgot to add how all this seems to support the mayan calendar and the theory of time speeding up.

but what i am feeling is that this acceleration of time will at some point exceed the capabilities of the human brain. it simply won't be able to count that high, or move fast enough to keep up with it.

here is a story of exponential growth you might like:

a courtier presented the persian king with a beautiful, hand-made chessboard. the king asked what he would like in return for his gift and the courtier surprised the king by asking for one grain of rice on the first square, two grains on the second, four grains on the third etc. the king readily agreed and asked for the rice to be brought. all went well at first, but the requirement for 2 n − 1 grains on the nth square demanded over a million grains on the 21st square, more than a million million (aka trillion) on the 41st and there simply was not enough rice in the whole world for the final squares.
