here's my simplistic equation:
increasing heat = increasing ice melt + increasing evaporation so, melting ice results in higher ocean levels, but increased evaporation results in lower ocean levels. while its unlikely that the two will cancel each other out (ocean levels will probably see a net rise), sea levels will probably not rise to the degree described by the most negative forcasts. they are probably only looking at half of the equation above, ie., ice melt. increasing evaporation has been partially responsible for changes in weather such as larger storms. this should be expected to continue. if sea levels rise to anywhere near what was stated in that tbr blurb. i would expect to see major flooding of the outer banks area of north carolina within a year. so we should know real soon how accurate this info is. i'm personally more concerned with a possible cme that would wipe out everything with a chip in it, and some, or all of the electrical grid. i don't know what i would do without my 'puter. ![]() |

hey guys,
i saw another planet x / nibiru post trying to get through here... don't know what our mods will do with it, as i'm not directly involved in those decisions. again... xophiles must throw away everything they think they know. the 'evidence' for prior passages of this planet is very, very shaky. those profiting from this model are taking anything and everything they can find in ancient literature and mapping it into their model. comets and asteroids are small pieces of a planet that exploded. that's the only reason why they have such strange orbits. a planet-sized body (or even a moon-sized body) would automatically fall into the sun's harmonic beat-resonance patterns, as i've so repeatedly outlined in all three convergence books, free on-site. there is no way that even a small moon could have a sustainable elliptical orbit crossing through the inner planets. why? because we're dealing with attraction and repulsion -- gravity and levity, both working together, to hold the planets in place. there is no validity to planet x. period. it's a shame that anyone reading my material with any depth would still think otherwise. it's not about science, it's about belief in this case. too much repetition, too many pieces of misinformation and / or disinformation, and one's discernment is clouded -- perhaps irreparably. - david |

i would say that the entire purpose of materializing in this 3d existence is to experience the separateness, duality and individuality of each of us.
god, heaven and the perfect place that we are all looking forward to going back to cannot exist without something to contrast with it. in other words, perfection cannot exist without imperfection. black cannot exist without white. "earth signs" cannot exist without someone else to oppose them, such as "air signs." earth cannot exist without mars. good cannot exist without evil. we must live this cold depressing life of imperfection in order to go home. there would be no home without it. without a hell, there would be no heaven. on a side note, this is one of the most interesting conversations i have ever had. i respect your opinion above a full %95 of the rest of the world. unfortunately, this is my mind set at the moment. tell me chris, am i right or wrong to feel this way? |

hey ice-melt observers,
i've got too much on my frying pan at the moment to do the research on the ice melt of greenland and the antarctic, but i wish to comment on one thing that damn near everyone has overlooked with regards the ice-cap melt: the "frying pan" in the earth. if you have observed a block of ice placed on a heated frying pan, it melts pretty fast, doesn't it, compared to putting the ice on an unheated, room-temp pan? putting the block of ice in a pan that is in the sun accelerates the ice melt a bit, but it's still rather slow. but if you put a block of ice in a heated pan, the whole block would immediately shift and start to move around on a rapidly-forming puddle of water on the bottom of it. greenland and the antarctic both are known to have numerous fissures through which the heat from the earth's mantle extrudes to the surface. look at iceland that is just below greenland--it's dominated by volcanic activity and the entire economy/society run their energy off the very-strong volcanic activity on that little, tiny island. in greenland entire glaciers have already been observed to have moved something like a thousand yards in one day, as opposed to normally moving about six yards per year, or something like that. i'd have to go to the other computer that i had been using to find the url that describes the detail of the significant, massive movements of the glaciers that recently surprised the hell out of everybody. it does not take a great leap in imagination of greenland having similar fissures that allow the mantle's heat to extrude to the surface, where it would meet the icecap and melt it in a hurry, forming huge under-the-ice lakes/rivers and that's exactly what i think is happening in those two places. the under-the-ice-cap lakes are mainly attributed to the surface-melt moulins, but i think that most of the water that is formed under the ice cap really would come from the volcanic-melt sources. the antarctic also has extensive volcanic action as well and i bet that the alien bases--and human ones as well--are in the places where the fire and ice meet. there's plenty of internet coverage of the surface-based ice melt, but there's not a lot of information out there covering the volcanic-based melt. so some research in this area of the fire below the ice caps will be needed. so my thesis is that the majority of the ice-cap melt would come from the "heated frying pan" inside the earth, not from the surface. of course, the source of the increased heat from our earth is from the increased density of energy that our solar system has moved into. i have found this: * kazan science centre * puschino science centre * samara science centre * saratov science centre * vladikavkaz science centre of ran and government of northern ossetia * dagestan science centre * kabardino-balkarian science centre * karelian science centre * kola science centre * science centre of ran in chernogovka * st.petersburg science centre * ufa science centre * southern science centre * troitsk science centre those centers are a part of the russian academy of sciences, so they may be good places to start with research in this area. i'll dig into it soon, but have too much on my frying pan in the moment, so to speak. ~seth |

studies of climate show that major global warming takes place approximately every 100,000 years. each period of global warming generally lasts approximately 10,000 years. we are presently nearing the end of another one of the 10,000 period of global warming. the last time we had such a 10,000 year spell of global warming before this one was roughly 100,000 years ago. (i'm rounding numbers, for simplicity's sake, to describe the repeating cycles.)
that 100,000 year cycle has continued for approximately the last million years. if that cycle keeps going, we are headed for another ice age soon - and i mean "soon" as in the next 3,000 years - and the coming ice age would be expected to last for 100,000 years same as always. obviously that overall pattern could change. either way, any temperature fluctuations within the last 10,000 years are but a small blip on the map. they're about equivalent to the little ripples you can see in the ocean in between actual waves. "around 130,000-110,000 years ago (the eemian interglacial), the earth's climates were generally much like those of today, though somewhat warmer and moister in many regions." http://www.esd.ornl.gov/projects/qen/nerc130k.html just to give it a bit of visual perspective, let's draw a line to represent time. what the press calls "global warming" is all happening toward the end of the little segment "gw," marked off in parentheses - and i do hope this graph turns out ok: ----100,000 ice age -----------------------------------(10 gw)-------------------------------------------100,000 ice age--- present time of 2009 is right at the letter "w" in parentheses. essentially what i see in this graph is that people worried about global warming are focusing everything on the (10 gw) period of time and trying to make you forget about everything on both sides of it. my question: how sensible is that?? - deerclan |

we must be very careful to believe the media in general - the fear propaganda costs money - our money - and pays them. the warming was never going to be as bad as they were predicting - it is just another method to keep us in fear - and to also get us to agree to a global carbon tax they are working on in the future. we exhale carbon...
youll also notice that now its rare to ever hear the term 'global warming'. it has subtly been changed to 'climate change'... hmmm.... currently reports have shown that global warming - which yes, was happening, is directly related to the sun and its sunspots. we were in a period of time that the sun was - as i would say, having indigestion... a sunspot literally shoots very far from the sun itself, and the closer they get to us, the hotter we are. the warming was affecting all of the planets, not just earth - and as such proves man is not at fault. the sun is now entering a period of time of no sun spots at all. this means we are now heading into global cooling. in fact, scientists are concerned that recently the sun was showing no sunspots at all. there are reports that the ice caps are actually rapidly growing now - many ports that had been open for centuries have been shut down due to the ice. polar bears love the water, they are not stranded on ice blocks, they actually survive in warmer climates because theres more food for them - and reports are showing their numbers are growing. on a personal level, these past few years the number one thing to sell me on global warming was the blasted heat. i live in southern california, by magic mountain - and i remember how it used to cool down the first few weeks of september, and it would not warm up again until may. where i live, it only became as hot as 100, roughly. the past several years, its not cooled down until end of november, and march is already warming up. winters were a bit bland. however now ive noticed that the winters are much colder than before... ive always wondered if those who love the summer were part of the first humans that lived in the desert areas to begin with - and those more acclimated to the colder climates, started out as such as well. see, born and raised here, and ive never done well in the heat... ![]() on a final note, over 30,000 scientists have now banded together to file a lawsuit against al gore for his actions in leading all to believe the dire consequences we were headed for. recall to mind his favorite phrase "the debate on global warming is over" - a true scientist would never say such a thing, knowing that factors change all the time. either way, these scientists have been trying to get him to debate the issue, and he refuses time and again... another...hmmmmm..... so in the end, we dont really know what will happen. we may continue towards a global cooling trend, or maybe the sun will belch one massive sunspot that will boil us - either way, its foolish for them to say the debate is over when new factors change things all the time. perhaps when the pole shift does occur, gore will get his warming. but for those of us who have ascended to the 4th dimension, will not have to suffer with him. ![]() |

global warming?
yes, there is definitely an increase of energy occurring within the earth and the solar system at large. generally speaking at this physical level increases in energy tend to display themselves in an increase of temperature as well. so our little planet is ramping up its energies, and warming and melting are one aspect of that. but there is something else going on in this dynamic system as well. i live in southern oregon, near crater lake. now, crater lake maintains nearly the same water level throughout the year, with some minor variations. this is regardless of there being extreme quantity or lack of precipitation. why? evaporation. water evaporates folks. so, if there is a lot of precipitation the level of crater lake will rise, but along with that then the surface area increases. the greater the surface area, the greater the evaporation, and thus crater lake will stabilize its level through evaporation. if there is a drought or low precipitation year, the level of the lake will lower slightly, the surface area will decrease, and evaporation will then slow, allowing natural springs and any precipitation that does occur to bring the lake back up to its stasis point. it is a self-regulating system. now, the oceans are mighty big, but the same physics must apply. if, through warming or whatever mechanism, more water enters the oceans and increases the surface area there will be more evaporation, which will locally create greater rain/snowfall and cooling. remember that! water evaporating has a cooling effect. so while the poles are melting on one side, there are also reports of glacier-building and increased snow packs, generally on the opposite side of the melting. so, if we get a huge amount of melting we will have more ocean surface area which will increase evaporation, which will increase the amount of moisture in the atmosphere as well as decrease its temperature, increasing the likelihood of the precipitation that falls coming in the form of snow. what i'm saying is, what is being called global warming is actually more likely just the trigger moment of an approaching cold period, potentially even an ice-age. certainly for places like europe and much of north america. but the system will also create great drought and heat in other parts of the world. if one really takes a look at what has been happening in weather in the last year or two i think one can see that this is exactly what has been happening. flooding or drought. cold or heat. its gonna be a few before the energetic warming of the planet and the varietal cooling and other effects find stasis again. and i say that because our little ball of dirt called earth has been doing this stuff for a long time, this is nothing new or unusual. it is we, who have either forgotten our planetary history or have had it hidden from us, who think this is all so very unusual. of course this is all a relatively gradual affair. if the ocean levels rise rapidly because the antarctic ice-cap slides off of the antarctic continent because of the volcanic activity creating a a sheet of water between the ground and the cap then all bets are off! |
