hello
my names jenna and i'm new to this forum i come here because i've been learning alot more about "all of this stuff" this year and everything makes perfect sense my whole life i've felt like i wasnt human i'm 18 i have anxiety and it seems to me like people with anxiety like me are paranoid because they just over analyze everything but even though it can be terrifying it's like the questioning everything and paranoia isn't exactly wrong given the circumstances if you know what i mean i sometimes get depersonalization http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/depersonalization long story short when your under alot of stress or something you can go into this depersonalization it feels like some kid of identity crisis you can hardly recognize yourself in the mirror you "don't feel like a person" and everything is like a dream or a movie really terrifying for someone experiencing it but like someone on this forum said before you arent a person, and the world is a dream! so i don't really know what i'm getting at here but.. i feel alot like i'm just walking around controlling this body it's a trip can anyone relate lately i feel weirder than usual do you guys also feel "weird" lately thnxaaaa |

i really find no one weird. everyone has there own experiance and what ever is experianced is real.
i have gone through i think the longest... maybe a week or a week in a half where i felt like i was in a waking dream and everything i thought seemed to happened. people i worked with seemed like they were all in a movie and where there own sperate identity behind masks playing this story and charector, everyhting seemed like a dream and the synchronicities were right after another and each day it just got more and more untill it just stopped for a bit. i get like this at times in spurts. i dont know if that can relate but i have had feelings the same. my body always seems like a vessel. and what lays behind this vessel is much different from others. but i still try to "go with the flow of public things". i have never been to lable anything cause a lable is just a name for something that is created out of thought about what it is. what it is is experiance. if you are not taking drugs to feel that way and get there then whats happening is very natural. best wishs too you. |

anytime im feeling that sort of "out-of-body" feeling that i believe you are describing, i do a quick easy visualization that helps me. sometimes it helps me "put my feet back on the ground" and other times it just makes me more comfortable where im at. heres what i visualize:
every single breath my body takes, i am breathing in the creator, the infinite creative energy that surrounds us. the air carries the energy right into my lungs, and right into my heart chakra. there, it activates the light and love within me. i am taking that energy into my heart center, and creating it into love/light (i usually choose to see the love/light as a beautiful green color, the color of healing, and my favorite color to boot. you could choose whatever color you wish, or even just go with good old brilliant white). breathe in the energy, and breathe out love/light. create the energy into love then send it out, into you, and then back out into the flow. i fill my aura up with every breath i exhale. once my aura is glowing and brilliant, i start to fill up the space around me with my "exhaled" light/love. then, as my surroundings fill up, i start to permeate this light into the earth itself and even into other people. continue doing that until you feel better. :d i experience that weird feeling of being mis-placed periodically and this visualization helps me a ton and i can easily do it anywhere. i usually have to stop and do it while i am at work. it only takes me 4-5 minutes and then im back and feeling ok again... we are all one! i hope this assists you when you feel out of place. |

i think grounding exercises would be good for you, like walking bare foot on the earth, imagining roots coming down from your feet and spine and anchoring you in to the earth plane. the depersonalization that you describe has happened to me on occasion. what has helped me is focusing on things that will bring me 'back', so to speak...things that will help to anchor you to this reality. i agree with babyblue above: grounding exercises and other grounding aides would be very helpful for you. a visualization that i use for grounding is imagining that my feet are immersed in warm, golden sand as i go through the day. you could meditate in the morning and concentrate on this visualization to put it in place, and then keep the image with you throughout your daily activities. in addition, there are some excellent crystals and gemstones that will help to keep you grounded. these are just a few: hematite, cat's eye, boji stone, magnetite, smoky amethyst and tourmaline quartz. any one of these or a combination could be worn in jewelry or carried in your pocket. all of them can be found online or in local rock shops, and most of them are inexpensive. hope this helps. love, light, and hugs to you...((((( ![]() nancy |

this is so interesting!
i have never heard of depersonalization disorder before...but i find if funny that we label everything and call everything a disorder...like there is a such thing as feeling normal! lol so i find myself lost in my feelings, emotions and reactions to everything i encounter in life. almost like i am being lead by creation its self because i am allowing myself to be. it is definitely not a bad thing and i dont mind it. life is just a game, but it depends if you know the secret codes to make it too the end! haha i trust life and every experience i encounter, i love it. one love to you all. |
