Default Audio aides and some new sensations
i've experienced some new sensations recently. compared to the level of things i've read here from many of you, these may seen common or trivial but for me i've not been previously blessed to had any unique 'experiences' and i was very happy to have these new physical sensations arise. makes me feel like i'm moving on the right path and i just wanted to share the experiences.

on tuesday night i read david’s latest blog entry "2012 politics iii". that left me with a nice positive feeling going into my meditation that night. i've only been meditating for just under 3 months now. lately as i begin my meditation besides trying to visualize myself bathed in a vibrant white light i also say some words or phrases and will concentrate on whichever one feels right at that moment. words such as 'light', 'love', 'peace', 'oneness' and 'one infinite creator' are common. now i normally don't have any auditory aides that i use but just prior to reading david’s blog i had purchased an mp3 download from [name] and decided to listen the track 'outer world'. as i sat down and started up the track i was fairly clear minded and just was paying attention to the clip. after 2-3 minutes i thought 'i should start thinking about those keywords'. but the odd thing was i could not recall the phrase 'one infinite creator'! it was like my brain was tongue tied. that really threw me. about 10-15 seconds later i finally recalled the words and started to say them internally and think about them. when i meditate i occasionally get this mild tingling feeling that starts in my arms and torso and goes up to the top of my head. it only takes a few seconds but it's like i can feel the hairs on my arms raise as well as my head. during this particular meditation, once i started to go through my keywords, i can't recall which word i keyed in on but i suddenly got that tingling in my torso and this time it moved outwards laterally through my arms instead of up towards my head. it seemed to feel stronger and moved just a bit slower as well. i tried to stay calm and told myself to relax and go with it. then i felt this tugging feeling on the back of my head and could feel my head very slowing tilting upwards. no visions or voices or anything, but nonetheless it was a very encouraging experience. about 10-15 minutes into the meditation i had a similar experience of the head this time being turned and then pulled back. as i headed to sleep after the meditation i tucked myself in and shut off the light. i have an atomic projection clock that alternates displaying the time and outside temp. when i looked at the ceiling it was 11:00 and the temp was 55! that brought a big smile to my face and i went to sleep with a deep feeling of appreciation.

the following night i listened to the same clip. i had a few tingly feelings but not like the prior night. earlier that day i received a package in the mail which included the [name] audio cd. it's an undertaking by [names]. it's kind of hard to describe. it's based on the four letter name of god (aka the tetragrammaton) using the hebrew letters hyvh. it's basically a repeated chant of that with tone(s) in the background. well after meditating i went to retire in my bed and i put on this disc. it's really "interesting". i told a lot of people about it at work today. i was seeing a lot of images flashing quickly but they were not vivid. i'm not prone to good visualizations or many visualizations at all for that matter! after a while i got this buzz in my head it was definitely in the rear center. nothing i've ever experienced before. it lasted a few minutes. i thought possible it was some pineal activation going on and i tried to look upwards above my brow area and concentrate on that area but nothing happened. i did feel my head quickly twitching from side to side for some time and i also had a few moments where my left arm twitched and jerked. normally i remain very motionless in my meditations and when listening to audio in bed prior to sleep.

so i had two positive nights of meditation and relaxation with new experiences and sensations where i used some audio aides. i seem to recall david not being keen on using them (maybe being a kind of a crutch per say). but i’m very happy i found them and will for now continue to use them for a while.

peace & oneness,
john

thankyou for sharing your experiences
i regularly use music to assist me in meditation.i find that music of a 'certain frequency' assists me in entering a deeper state of meditation.
it really depends on where i am in the moment as to whether i use music or not.
it's wonderful to read your beautiful description of progressing through your meditive states
love & bliss to you

thanks starlove!

i don't know how i missed it but when i went to retire and was listening to the tetragrammaton related cd i also experienced this really odd feeling of my head sinking downwards. it was very cool and was a fairly strong feeling that lasted less than 10 seconds. i cant recall for sure if that occurred before or after the buzzing in the back of my head. but i think it was afterwards.

i mainly use those 2 cd's now during meditation. pm me if you want to know the titles.

peace & unity,
john
