dear friends,
well, actually everything is an illusion... http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0926184749.htm be well, be love. david dark energy: is it merely an illusion? sciencedaily (sep. 29, 2008) — dark energy is at the heart of one of the greatest mysteries of modern physics, but it may be nothing more than an illusion, according physicists at oxford university. the problem facing astrophysicists is that they have to explain why the universe appears to be expanding at an ever increasing rate. the most popular explanation is that some sort of force is pushing the accelerating the universe's expansion. that force is generally attributed to a mysterious dark energy. although dark energy may seem a bit contrived to some, the oxford theorists are proposing an even more outrageous alternative. they point out that it's possible that we simply live in a very special place in the universe - specifically, we're in a huge void where the density of matter is particularly low. the suggestion flies in the face of the copernican principle, which is one of the most useful and widely held tenants in physics. copernicus was among the first scientists to argue that we're not in a special place in the universe, and that any theory that suggests that we're special is most likely wrong. the principle led directly to the replacement of the earth-centered concept of the solar system with the more elegant sun-centered model. |

illusion, definition:
a false appearance or deceptive impression of reality i dislike the use of the world "illusion" to describe our existence in this density. i think it implies that it is not real, or that it is not important. we know that our time and experiences here result in growth that is very important to our overall existence. this existence is very real in every sense of the word. if you were to step in front of a moving bus, you would be seriously injured or killed, because the bus is real. as far as dark energy, i feel that it does indeed exist as negatively polarized spirits. what if you were to grab a ouja board, and play around a little without invoking any protection and commanded spirits to manifest? there is a high probability you will succeed and said spirit(s) probably won't treat you very nicely. due to the limitations of free will, your guardian angels most likely will be forced to stand by as you learn just how real negatively polarized spirits can be. all of what we experience as reality exists on some level and there are rules which you have to play by if you don't want to get hurt, or worse. if pressed, i personally prefer referring to incarnated life as "training", or "experience", but not an illusion... |

if pressed, i would prefer referring to incarnated life as "training", or "experience", but not an illusion... i agree with this statement but i don't think these three things are mutually exclusive. to clarify my viewpoint, my beliefs are largely influenced by the seth material and from what i've read so far of the law of one the concepts are compatible. seth says that the outside world (what i'm referring to as illusion) is just a manifestation of our inner worlds. and for the most part distracts us from the actually source (inner world) of our creation. for me, it makes the outer world even more fascinating. i often sit and wonder how amazing it is that we all agree and create the flora and fauna around us. seth says the creation of the seasons is one of the most creative feats of the mind (universal mind?). [please pm for book name] is an excellent book that explains how this works. here's a good review: "this book explains how our individual thoughts and feelings contribute to mass events such as floods and earthquakes, plagues and pestilences - and the lives and deaths of our public icons like princess diana and mother theresa. seth tells us: 'your world and everything in it exists first in the imagination. you usually think, for example, that your feelings about a given event are primarily reactions to the event itself. it seldom occurs to you that the feelings themselves might be primary, and that the particular event was somehow a response to your emotions, rather than the other way around. the all-important matter of your focus is largely responsible for your interpretation of any events.' as we approach the next millennium, some are certain that it is all over down here on planet earth, some are in wait of a golden age, others search for mass landings of ufo’s and a third world war, while still others live in dread of massive earth changes, polar shifts and environmental disasters. according to seth, all these events are created by us and with purpose - to reflect our thoughts and feelings back to us so we can see and learn from them.... so we can grow and evolve spiritually. seth also teaches us that we can prevent the mass events that threaten disaster... that we can avoid being blown off the planet. our "salvation" from whatever disasters might befall us lies within us - in our thoughts and feelings. when we learn the lessons that each of these events contains, and change how we think and feel, when we face our fears and move away from our anger, frustration and resentments, when we become the fully loving beings that we are cabable of being, there will be no need for pain, sorrow and loss. the [book name] is timely reading for all of us right now. to avoid this time of apparent global crisis, when so many are feeling disempowered by their life’s circumstances, seth reminds us that we have chosen our reality - and with purpose. the challenge now is to "get the lessons" in each event, understand its purpose, and then respond with those all-powerful and all-pervasive loving thoughts, feelings and actions." best, stacy |

stacy,
thank you for your post-very well written. seth says that the outside world (what i'm referring to as illusion) is just a manifestation of our inner worlds. to clarify, are you stating that you believe that everything you experience external to yourself is generated from within your being? if that is the case, how do you explain shared experiences and other situations where multitudes of people experience(with the 5 senses) roughly the same thing? is it possible that we are experiencing things external to our being but we all have a choice on how to react and/or how to view things? also, could seth have been referring to discarnate existence rather than incarnate existence? |

to clarify, are you stating that you believe that everything you just wanted to let you know where that quote came from because i neglected to include it in the last post...oops http://www.globalpsychics.com/servin...s-events.shtml on that page it provides an answer to your first question, "in the nature of personal reality, seth explains the dynamics of energy, and how each event in our lives is created by us - and with purpose. in the individual and the nature of mass events, seth takes this discussion a step further by defining how as individuals, we co-create our universe and actively participate in creating life-changing mass events - for a multitude of purposes. this book explains how our individual thoughts and feelings contribute to mass events such as floods and earthquakes, plagues and pestilences - and the lives and deaths of our public icons like princess diana and mother theresa." in the case of "acts of god" he says that there will be an underlying feeling of say suffering, enslavement from many, many individuals that all co-create a hurricane, flood, tornado etc. in the case of two or more individuals just having an encounter between or among themselves, essentially we create each event to learn a lesson and others happen to be learning a different lesson from the same experience. that's why people remember things so differently. i think this can be verified by police investigators when they try to unravel what happened at the scene of a crime. but even more than that, we all agree to some extent on how we create the world around us. the book the nature of personality explains this in more detail. also, we cannot know for sure how others sense the world around them because we only have our own little piece of the universe from which to view. in terms of choice, we all have free will. the point seth makes is that we constantly have opportunities to grow and we are all in this realm of experience for a reason. we can choose to keep running up against the same wall over and over again or we can learn what we need to from an experience and hopefully move on. regarding incarnate and discarnate existence. this is where it gets complicated. seth says that we have an oversoul who looks in on us and sometimes even tries to help direct us along the right path. the oversoul is really a more evolved version of ourselves that exists in a higher realm. so both incarnate and discarnate in a sense. also, an oversoul can have several entities who are living at the same "time" and you can even run into one (or more) of your oversoul entities in your lifetime here. and you also have a soul group that you are affiliated with to perform the same type of function. so you are naturally attracted to these individuals over lifetimes. i couldn't find a good reference right now but to the best of my recollection there are about seven or eight major groups with a variety of functions. a few of the functions off the top of my head were teachers, caregivers, and revolutionaries. i hope this answers your questions to some extent. you can go a lot deeper by reading the books. http://www.newworldview.com/library/...k_listing.html i'm just now working my way through "the early sessions" but i've read all the books that were written during jane roberts lifetime. best, stacy |
