i had a dream last night in which there were two entities who interacted with each other extensively and intimately in two distinct concurrent incarnations. one was masculine and dark, the other was feminine and light. they interacted extensively and in concert with each other, having complete communication between them, and they had a clear sense of shared purpose at a highly evolved level.
my sense in the dream was that they are separate beings who always incarnate together and share an evolutionary journey. they are far advanced in this journey, which at the stage in which i dreamed them, is focused on assisting in the evolution and progress of others.
the sense of two entities who share a path through the progression of incarnations and are spiritually joined into a single purpose, but who do so as separate, closely bound beings was very strong in the dream.

my question is, has anyone out there encountered the notion of two separate entities incarnating in such a closely bound way life after life? i am aware of the notion that we share multiple lives with other souls whose journeys are intertwined, and i am aware of the balance of masculine and feminine within each of us, but this dream seemed to be more than that. it is as if these two entities make up a whole, but incarnate as balancing aspects in separate entities. i have never heard of such a thing before. it could be a simple dream mechanism in which i am integrating my own balance, but i'm wondering if it could actually be what it seems to be.

the dream was quite extensive and took two and a half pages in a word document to describe. i can post it if anyone is interested. [please pm if interested]

i have always been fascinated by such a concept, almost to the point of obsession, although i've kind of given up hoping for such a thing now. perhaps it's because a certain amount of soul growth must first occur before such a thing can happen?

i don't know. i might be straying away from the intended topic here. i read a book once about twin flames or "twin s-elves" by a particular person who i feel was a very bright light in this world. i had a dream at the age of 9 which captivated me somehow. i didn't know about soul mates then, and perhaps it was only a childish fantasy of mine, like an imaginary friend, it just always haunted me. i have been thinking about it again lately as my mother showed me some old writings i had forgotten about, and tried to throw away....which were about this.

it's a beautiful idea....somehow i just can't let go of such a dream completely......

i just saw the thread on twin flames and was thinking about posting to it when i saw your reply.

it does seem like the same thing to me...perhaps. (it might be that the posts in this thread should be merged into the twin flames thread --- i wasn't aware of it when i started this one, and didn't know the terminology of twin flames to search for it.)

in the twin flames discussion there is a comment that twin flames rarely incarnate together, while in my dream the two entities intentionally incarnate and function together.

most all of my dreams have a very intense component to them...which serves as a guidepost for me in interpreting them, but this dream was one of the most intensely powerful dreams i have ever had, and the focus of intensity was the relationship of the twin entities. this relationship is one in which the two entities are extremely powerful and insightful because of their integrated consciousness, and yet they are still distinct entities. it was interesting to me that in the first incarnation in the dream they did not have human biological forms but rather were highly conscious rectangles about 5 x 8 inches by 1/2 inch thick (they resembled plastic kitchen cutting boards.) the masculine one was black, the feminine one was white. they interacted with each other in pure thought for the benefit of life itself.

the one thing i wonder about in this is how it relates to me. i am in an extremely compatible, happy, and wonderful marriage, but i have never experienced any relationship with another person remotely like the relationship of the two entities in this dream. in that sense, it does seem to be pointing inward, to the integration of animus and anima.

and as i think about it, revelations relating to animus and anima are almost always the most powerful and profound for me, whether they come in dream or in waking insight. so i don't know if this is animus/anima, or twin flames, or if there is some integration of the two that is not yet clear to me.

i don't think so. they were extremely conscious. i think the simplicity of their form was meant to emphasize that they were pure consciousness. but they needed some kind of physical representation to illustrate their yin/yang nature (black and white.) human form would have detracted. in the second incarnation in the dream they were both human, and the action of this segment required them to be physical humans, but with skills and awareness far exceeding what is normal in 3d.

hi all,

the notion of several physical incarnation of the core self (soul for christians) occurring at the same time is a possibility that is entertained in tibetan buddhism. in a book called “born in tibet” by chogyam trungpa rinpoche he discussed aspects of tulkuhood. a tulku is monk who is recognized as a previous incarnation of a high lama (e.g. the 14th dalai lama). in the book he states that certain high lamas can have up to five incarnations occur at the one time. these various incarnation will manifest different aspects of the core self. in think i might have put more details on this in the old archives. if not and anyone is interested i can certainly provide more details.

in robert monroe’s series of books on obes he also mentions finding another aspect of his core self. in my own case some years ago i had a rather weird reading from a clairvoyant who my sister had seen. i only saw her because she told my sister about a lot of thinks i was doing at the time (e.g. remote viewing) which i kept private and she had no way of knowing about. after the reading she told me it was the weirdest reading she had ever given. i will only mention the relevant bit here, which was that, “i would marry a lady whose son would be me”. this has not transpired yet but i am sure i have been shown this child in several dreams. so i guess i will have to wait and see!! what an interesting multiverse we live in
