Default The Origin of Suffering and evil
god is consciousness. we are that consciousness. consciousness wanted to know....infinite experience. suffering was born out of a sense of deeper separation.

a part of the consciousness which decided to experience itself as a separate form, became curious and chose to challenge the laws of harmony- to seek control through destruction and fear. this happened over a period of time. this part of consciousness only became more capable of destruction and causing suffering to others through its own amnesia of its true origins. it had to separate itself from the knowing of unity, of love, in order to become what it became. it was only an experiment; a dream of its own making. in time, it could not remember the difference between the dream and who it really was.

the only truth there is is love.
only wisdom through love can liberate us from suffering, because when we harm any other part of life, we harm a part of ourselves.....this in turn perpetuates suffering through the laws of karma. there is no need for guilt- only an awareness of love; an awakening of knowledge once more, of unity.

if this were to happen, an awakening, on a widespread/ global scale....then we would alter the very nature of our own dimension. we would rise to a level of a higher vibrational frequency and so would the world around us, and all of nature. metaphorically, the lion would lie down with the lamb. all things are possible. the only limitations we have are the ones we create in our own minds. but life itself was made through consciousness.

_____________________________________________

what would happen if this were to happen.......eventually in time would we, any of us, ever get bored of harmony and wish to experiment with destruction? not if we never forgot.....never forgot all of the lessons we have learned here, on earth. we must never forget the pain we have caused each other here. we includes all sentient life. we must never forget the suffering.

through love and knowledge, which makes wisdom, we will one day, in time, set ourselves free.

it seems that books, films, and theater could help remind mankind the atrocities of disharmony. i'm far too young to really feel any feelings about ww2 but i know so much about it through media that i would never let another event happen like that while i'm still alive.

your picture of the creator is largely similar to mine, amelie. although i think we need to consider whether this suffering is creative. in other words, this curiosity of the creator is responsible for, in addition to many, many other things, our experiences of suffering.

the problem with saying this is that it sounds like a dismissal of suffering - that it's a subordinate concern to the creator's big ol' "experiment". we must never forget that all of these experiences are enshrined in mystery, and that an intellectual understanding of how they fit together is not the same as a heartfelt appreciation and grounding of them. it matters that parts of the creator suffer. it's a paradox that, i believe, we must drink fully instead of merely resorting to analysis.

unfortunately, i find it difficult to talk about such an emotional topic, but perhaps others can do better. indeed, this may be an area where art is of more value than dialogue.

great post!

thanks for reading.

wow, i've just stayed up all night reading that "authentic et contact book from 1955" on the left hand side of the home page here. link:

http://divinecosmos.com/index.php?op...=394&itemid=70

it seems quite synchronistic that i have been reading this absolutely amazing article after writing that crazy blog this morning.

either the writer of this et contact account questions and thinks deeply about things like i do resulting in an amazing fictional story, or he really did have such contact as described there.

i was only looking for something to read whilst buffering an episode of heroes that i was going to watch online, but once i started to read it, i just couldn't stop (i skipped the intro and went straight to the encounter bit).

i really do believe there must be life in other dimensions as well as other planets.

i really do feel that if i keep searching for answers, eventually i will be able to tune into the truth through my higher self, which i feel sometimes can happen when i write down certain insights which have come to me. however, words are always a limited means of channeling something and the mind can distort things slightly as it filters things from the higher consciousness. i think the key is to just allow these thoughts and insights to come and keep evolving?
