Default Kundalini and Madness
i thought i'd post something about kundalini awakening that some may find interesting:

kundalini and madness

"many individuals who experience the awakening of kundalini behave in a peculiar way; they think in a different style or pattern. they may see auras and visions, feel peculiar in the body, hear strange sounds and talk all sorts of nonsense. in society, our brains are structured in a certain way; there is discipline and control which inhibit us from expressing ourselves freely. when the awakening of kundalini takes place, this conditioning is withdrawn and the lid is completely lifted from the mind. that is why the actions and words of those who are undergoing kundalini awakening appear to be so nonsensical and often mad to the ordinary man.

during kundalini awakening and madness, peope may manifest the same symptoms, but on closer examination, a difference can be detected. if you film a man laughing out of madness and a man laughing with his friends, they will look almost the same, but different. externally, these god-intoxicated ones look crazy, but if you were with them, they would have appeared and proved to be very clear. the inner consciousness of such people is absolutely lucid, organised and disciplined.

a great misunderstanding

mystics throughout the ages have been persecuted for their experiences, which to the normal mundane consciousness are insanity, yet to the sage are ecstasy. socrates was poisoned because he did not behave normally. christ was crucified because his teachings were not understood. joan of arc and the witches of salem were burned at the stake. all have been persecuted and harrassed by the mundane populace for their vision, which arose as a result of inner work. due to this lack of understanding, many of the esoteric doctrines were hidden from the majority of people.

of course, this was long ago. we live in a more enlightened world today, far from the barbarous atrocities of the past, or do we? war and poverty still exist, as do insanity and madness. people who are shown to be crazy, relative to the norms of our society, are locked up until they are "better." yet, by what criteria are they judged? how do we know the difference between insanity and the ecstasy of enlightenment? is it by the the superficial external appearances that we sense with our limited sensory apparatus, or is it by some deeper inner fear that we are motivated to judge others insane because they do not behave like the majority. some of the people in the west who are locked up as insane would be recognised in the east as having undergone higher spiritual experiences. therefore, it is up to science to determine some definite, concrete and reliable ways to differentiate between the broken, insane mind and the opening, enlightened mind."

i think david wilcock is helping tremendously in this regard.

this is a great topic. personally i'd never tell a psychologist the things i've seen and how i feel. they are way too far outside the boundries of the accepted paradigm to be considered sane.

the feeling of joy and unconditional love i feel towards my fellow man would be considered a "messianic complex"

the patterns of meaning i find in syncronicities would be seen as projection.

the intution i get from looking into anothers eyes would be seen as belief in magical powers

not to mention the visions, spirits, and messages i see / feel.

soooo true sadly. when i was growing up, well, even into my late twenties, almost every loving thing i said, or every positive outlooked i shared got violently opposed by my family, in such a way that to me, they look insaine....sadly it is to the point now that when they are around i can pretty much only talk about the weather, or very trivial subjects.

i have become sooo much more open with people in general now though, that things that would have made me look coocoo a few years ago, the people around me are not only open too now, but starting to talk openly about themselves as well.

everyone i see that i went to highschool with though allways tell me neat stories of dreams i told them, and things i said back then that were sooo far out that are comming mainstream now, like about the third eye, reiki, astral projection, remote viewing, and predicting things that allways came true etc, etc, that way back then i had no names for yet, but apparently wasn't shy when it came to talking about it....i just wish that i could rember more of myself back then.

well i'm crazy anyway so i guess no one would notice any difference hehe

just kidding.

yeah, i'm pretty sure many people would think those who have those experienced (myself included) are crazy, but then again, no one has ever thought of me being crazy when i told them what i see or hear or feel. i think people are more higher on the overall councious level, so they will not really take it like you're crazy (at least younger generations i know).

they actually quite understand me and seem to be quite interested. true, some people might call me wacko or something, but i normaly don't talk about those things to such people. i mean, only a few people older then 20 would really understand it.

butom line, i think the situation is not so bad. it's quite good actually, and it means that we wanderers are doing a very good job, rising the overall counciousnes.

it's almost like they are materialist shamans. their job is to use drugs and story telling to bring a lost soul back into the materialist fold.

i think their intention is in most cases good, they just work from a point of view that is limited for some people.

you'd feel the same way about a shaman who insisted your sour tooth was because of your bad behavior.

we talked a bit, then he gave me lithium. i was 11.

directly behind my place is a halfway house for mentally challenged. one of the gentleman plays blues guitar extremely loud about 10 hours a day, wears a dog mask and barks at people when they go by. he has a run down old dog that walks at his heel wherever he goes, and is the nicest, saddest little thing you've ever seen.

since i live on a college campus everyone has seen this gentleman and he has a whole folklore around him and is pretty much venerated as a keeper of secrets, "that guy has to know something that the rest of us don't".

who knows either way, but the guy puts a smile on my face anytime i see him walking around my neighborhood cursing at people, waking me up every now and again screaming in front of my house, " i
**** all of your televisions"

i'd like to add a few points to my first post.

"during the last few centuries, many unfortunate people whose kundalini had awakened were sent to mental hospitals and given drugs, electric shocks and other inappropriate treatments.

in the east, the situation is quite different. the belief is that consciousness is not the finished product of nature but is subject to evolution and between one state of being and the next, there is a crisis. when strange symptoms occur in someone, they believe that his consiousness is undergoing this evolution process.

though the process of spiritual awakening usually occurs without incident it may happen that blockages [of the chakras] or impurities in the body[toxins]
create symptoms which mimic various neurological and psychiatric conditions. these problems necessitate careful diagnosis to differentiate kundalini arousal and pathology.

scientists are now broadening their description of the spectrum of human behaviour and are discovering that it can be psychic and spiritual in origin as well as psychological or physical.

everybody should understand one very important point about the wakening of kundalini .it should never be equated with abnormal psychological behaviour because it is a process of jumping out of the mind."

i have been diagnosed with psychosis which i have suffered for four years. this year i had quite bad spell of it and one of the symptoms was seeing things like floating white translucent objects with the corner of my eyes. when i watched one of the project camelot videos a few weeks ago the guy on there spoke about how people will start experiencing this prior to 2012, has anyone else experienced this?

it seems that we have a choice between laughing in madness or weeping in despair.

hi, kundalini spontaneous awakenings without the work to integrate the personality (ego) always creates problems.

it is a pitty than in the west there are so few true teachers that can guide progresively throught this process.
