Default Interesting Images - SOHO and GCP
hey guys,

i was checking out the soho website and the global consciousness project website and saw some interesting pictures.

for the soho website, unless you check it pretty soon, you'll probably have to go to the archives.

here's the link:

http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/realtime/mpeg/

scroll down to the bottom right and check out the lasco c2 and lasco c3 movies. i'd be interested to hear what people think about "that thing" in both movies. also, on the lasco c3 movie, there definitely seems to be some sort of anomaly shooting out (or shooting in) towards (from) the upper right. i'm not educated enough on what these images are to offer anything more - sorry

here's the link the the global consciousness project:

http://noosphere.princeton.edu/

nothing noteworthy about "the dot" but on the right side under the "tapestry" they got this new globalbrain painting which is pretty cool. there's also a link right on the page - you'll have to click twice to get to the image.

enjoy!

hi art!

here is a link to info about planets transiting the sun within the frame of the c3. currently, what we are seeing is a mercury transit of the sun.

keep looking though! i check the soho pictures every couple of days at least, and have saved a number of very interesting images from them. i still check the cassini site as well. every now and then they seem to slip up and let an anomalous seeming photo through.

disclosure now!

love, blessings, and abundance,

so that is mercury? in c2 or c3? or both? how come they look like they have arms?

very cool regardless.

i have also checked out the global brain picture a few times and it's never looked like that before. very neat!

thanks art and frank-o

i just checked the global brain again and it's gone from a wild vortex looking picture to something completely different.

do they have archives of the brain pictures?

yup, mercury on both counts. the c3 is a wider view and the c2 is more of a close-up. the intensity of the reflective light causes the flare effect to the sides.
