Default so, is this heatwave because of global tension?
i remember david wilcock discussing a heatwave and that it was exasperated by global concern over the (last) lebanon war.

for those of you that didn't hear the project camelot interview where this is mentioned the general concept is that stress seems to manifest into global heat and so many people were stressed the temperature went up (and it was horribly hot like it is right now for many of us!).

looks like there are plenty of stress-worthy news stories out there! obama looks like he's going to win in a landslide over mccain and the last dregs of racism are going to surface as the status quo has changed.

israel is rattling sabers at iran, probably because it's apparent now that the bush foreign policy of war is unlikely to continue in the near future and peace is not an option for some people.

gasoline hits record prices to coincide with the heatwave, an obvious in your face reminder that the world is changing.

david wilcock suggests that people meditating can reduce the temperature of the planet. want to try?

there are many things to choose from, where should we start? i have learned that focusing ones intent is crucial to success. i have much energy to give and am happy to send it further out. just show me a direction.

according to the information that our friend david wilcock had found, and since we trust him to do the 'heavy lifting' of separating the facts from the wishful thinking, it seems that only a small percentage of people on earth, all focused on meditation in some positive focused way could affect the entire world.

perhaps we are amatures compared to the transcendental meditation groups but as long as we have the intent of helping the world our meditation can't hurt and possibly will help, so i say that when you yourself are cool and focused try to send that peaceful cool energy out to the world!

the minimum number of people needed to make any change is 1% squared of the surrounding population.

the article:

http://tony.donetsk.ua/_tm/scientifi...es/index~.html

priest of light
peace, love and courage

"since 1979, maharishi university of management has had a group of transcendental meditation and tm-sidhi participants that has varied in size from a few hundred to over 8,000. published research has shown that increases in the size of the group have an influence in both the us and canada, resulting in fewer violent deaths due to homicides, suicides, and traffic fatalities, a reduction in unemployment and inflation; and a general improvement in the quality of life. studies have shown that when the university group, or a similar group located anywhere in the world, is sufficiently large, that is, approaching the square root of 1% of the world population (7'000), that international relations improve and regional conflicts decrease world-wide. the conclusion of this research is that the only viable means of reducing and eventually eliminating the age-old problems of society and creating world peace is the ecological and truly systemic approach of creating coherence in collective consciousness through maharishi's transcendental meditation and tm-sidhi program. why limit yourself to a set time?

if you work in front of a computer, just set whatever scheduling software you use to go off every hour and remind you to give yourself a five-minute meditation break.

or you can set triggers on your commute or during your daily routine. for example, say to yourself, "everytime i see that lamppost, i will slip into walking meditation until i get to the bakery with the cute girl inside."

it helps trigger the thought if you give the landmark a name. for instance, i saw a sticker on a wall one time. it was a sticker in the shape of a crown, so i gave the spot the name "roy." the sticker's gone, but i still call the place roy in my mind whenever i walk by.

with some imagination, you can pepper your day with meditation and end up doing more than you would if you tried to do it all at one stretch.

hey thanks for the meditation tips johnasmodeus. i can definitely take advantage of that in my job.

i was just wondering though does it make a difference if we all do it at different times if we want to do a group effort or are we just "together" by our intention?

johnasmodeus,

i know by this quote:

with some imagination, you can pepper your day with meditation and end up doing more than you would if you tried to do it all at one stretch. that you did not mean that there "isn't as much value in a set time group meditation," but i would like to reiterate that there is and we should do that.

i like meganarline's set 9pm eastern time. do you know if the group from the "divine cosmos" forum is still meditating together weekly on friday nights?

9pm eastern is a good time because that is when the gaia meditation takes place with thousands of others (l/l research).

peace and love in the light,
e.j.

i am still pretty much during the week at 9pm eastern trying to find the time to meditate. we used to do the group one on friday night which is sometimes not possible for me but i'd be happy if anyone joins me at 9 any night.

if you can do it do it, if not don't. some nights perhaps we could have a lot of us. some nights less people.

i think it could be really great and we could accomplish a lot, send out a lot of great energy,or request a lot of help and guidance from the confederation et al if we could get a bunch of us.

if we just pick a couple of set times then who ever is available and wants in can join in the spirit of togetherness.

9 at night works so me so i am going to carry on , while anticipating others joining in.

thanks everyone,

megan

hi megan,

i would like to join you for that meditation. when you do it at 9pm est it will be 11am saturday morning here in sydney, but i think i can do it then.

do you think that maybe this topic should go into another thread so it might get more noticed? i just kind of stumbled onto it here in the heatwave/global tension topic. i think that there might already be an old thread existing somewhere from when we tried to get a group meditation going several months ago.

it would be really nice to know that there are many of us putting our energies together at one time world-wide.

love and light,
nancy

here is the link to the group meditation thread referred to above:

http://www.divinecosmos.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=10556

well, it appears that link is not working. if anyone wants to check it out, the original thread is in the positive affirmations section and is titled 'ready to call?'
