onethign, i've thougt about "nothing"....that is "no thing" which is the quantumstage before any thing becomes manifest...any thought, feeling or thing, the state of all possiibilities, before chóice etc...

my avatar is transiten (swedish for=the transit) because i'm heavily into astrology and everything will transit "pass", everything will/is change....

internal voice during meditation: "the frog knows you better than..."

i've always known that the tree frog was my "avatar" but to this day i still can't reasonably explain why

so do you mean avatar as in user name, or avatar picture?
the name butterfriends comes from a concept from when i was little, my sister used to have butterflies fluttering about near her quite often in the garden - she called them her butterfriends - she forgot all about it, i remembered and decided to write a book about the butterfriends..... and one day i shall...!

yes you could talk about any avatar you wish, the one you have here, other ones you have, old ones new ones, as a picture or as a name, what ever you wish.

in this context, the inspiration behind the expression of our choice for an avatar, whether from a picture, name, quote, belief, ect....... is what we have that can potentially be shared here with others .......sylvain........

i've been using the name dgcrow here as i have a deep fondness for these birds. they've done quite well for themselves considering all the disruption on the planet. (the dg refers to the initials of my first and surnames, which i'm presently considering dropping, from my forum name, that is )

about 16 years ago i was with a friend walking through the woods. we both felt a powerful menacing energy. during this time in our lives we were both reading carlos castaneda's books and so were open to non-ordinary experiences. anyway, we noticed a crow flying around the treetops, cawing loudly at us. after a brief discussion we agreed we were in the vicintiy of her nest and she was trying to protect her young, although we didn't have any malice in mind towards them.

this crow's actions led us, after a few minutes of discussion, to run away from the area, or should i say haul er well you know what i'm saying. after only a few seconds of running i felt a pointed, piercing energy directed at the back of my neck. instantly i stopped and bent at waist level just as the crow flew by where my head had been. my friend was ahead to the right and not in the crow's flight path, though he did see it fly by.

we were freaked out by this, but not angry at the crow at all. we contiued our adventure through the woods and had some other strange things occur which are not directly related to the crow. all said, it was a memorable night.

ever since then i've had a deep respect for crows and find i see them frequently. this is not surprising given their abundance and wide range of habitation. however, i notice them during and/or right after having "deep" thoughts or while thinking about challenges in my life.

some say crows are harbingers of change and keepers of the sacred law and that they can "pass between worlds". there is also negative (fearful) information from mythology about crows. personally i find the following website useful when considering animal totems:

peace, (caw! caw!)

onething, i just love this way of saying it, what you read and are sharing. i had not thought or said it quite this way, god pouring god into god., but so true in my eyes as well .

this oneself was opened to this a few years ago, it was something that i had read on love and i felt this huge burst of ha ha moment and had to go outside to absorb it all. i could not get enough in. all is love. all is god. we are all love and all god. all !

then i read god is and nothing else is. and when i read "nothing else is", i look at the very intangible items as you said, they all come out of god or from god, the furniture, towels etc.

my senses woke up, touch, hearing, smell, sight and taste.

i also thought back then, what a beautiful plan. separate, but connected, single, but whole, like but dislike, etc, etc.

"all there is, is one thing." and all things really are god, because they are of god.

and almost twenty years earlier, when i was a teenager, i had read in a book that an indian hindu person was enlightened as a child. he was asked about his moment of enlightenment. he said that he watched his baby sister drinking milk out of a cup and suddenly realized that it was like god pouring god into god.
as each of us wakes up to this truly wonderful world we live in and are part of, will our wills merge and become truly one.

avatar: a god's coming down in bodily form to the earth: incarnation. an embodiment; bodily manifestation is what my old webster has. thanks for introducing this word to me. i was not aware of it and it has not been part of my vocabulary
