hi all,
i was just outside lying on the front lawn with my dog and thought what a great idea. we could pick a time and we could all go out and lie on the earth and send her love. those that can't be outside then can just send her love through their thoughts, but those that can could actually give the earth an actual hug from their corner of the universe. since we are all from different areas of the world , quite a bit of the world could get hugged at one time or over a period of time. it could be 1:00 on saturday, where ever you are or something like that. any takers? megan |

i love this idea...can we take it a step further?
when the birds fly in your eyesight, acknowledge their flight and their beauty as they sore over their mother. when the flowers bloom, acknowledge their beauty and thank the mother from which they came from. watch the wind blow its breath and make the trees sway in their dance with the wind. notice the dew in the early sunrise, acknowledge the mothers mist. watch how the sun shines its light onto the earth and acknowledge the passion the earth feels for her sun. be thankful for her, be thankful of her, be thankful with her. acknowledge the true womb of all things that are on this earth. it only takes a second to acknowledge the mother. youll be surprised how many seconds out of your day you can acknowledge and give love to our mother earth. after you start doing this daily, it will be a like a natural habit that you cant ignore. i agree that the best way, is to lay your body next to the earth...its such a powerful thing! you could even take it another step further and do it naked ![]() the mother knows every single one of us. acknowledge her, and you can feel her acknowledge you right back. its beautiful! good post meganarline! peace to all, lynette another great way of acknowledging the mother is to plant something in her and watch it grow. |

nice idea.,
i know our trees and mother earth would enjoy seeing each of us a little more, perhaps on that blanket, towel or bench sitting outside under that special tree that calls to us. when is the last time you had a picnic or just read a book under a tree or outside in nature ? we are missed so much in nature. our thoughts, our feelings, our warmth, our glow, is missed by them.. take a lunch or afternoon and go enjoy nature with mother earth and under her mighty trees. let them communicate to you and you to them. hear, sense their presence and allow nature to hear you again, your laughter and joy once again. they miss our child like play and the simple parts of our true selfs. |

definitely count me in!
i like to sit under our hundred year old maple in the yard, with my back to the tree, and i ask the tree to help me send love and healing into the earth with its powerful root system. ![]() for most of my (career) life i built residential houses, and it always pained me to see them bring in their giant bulldozers and ravage the earth to make it conform to their idea of perfection. most times they didn't even save the topsoil! do these people have no idea that it takes 500 years to make an inch of topsoil?!? i mean it takes no more time and effort to simply find or create a home plan that fits the shape of the existing earth instead of forcing the earth to conforn to their plans. when i enrolled in my reiki master degree class, my primary intention was to use the healing power of reiki to help the earth, although i did have a secondary intention to use it to heal myself when it was needed. i do not know how effective my healing energy is to gaia, but one thing i do know; one of my primary missions in this life is that before i leave this majestic blue marble, she will know that she is loved. |

imagine the call from mother earth, arms spread out, welcoming a huge hug, we all know that feeling. ever since childhood i've found myself imagining returning the hug, often, while laying on the ground, i would actualy do it, i would hug the earth.
also, the image of earth from space upon returning from an obe is probably the single most powerful influential aspect of my current drive for existence or ( joy de vie ) i don't know what it is but i immediately felt like giving her a huge hug. so this memory comes back to me on a daily basis, i make it part of meditation and simply visualize it when ever i get the chance ![]() |
