for me, voting means what it means. the problem, as you stated, is that we are very limited on the canidates we can vote on. and most will tell the people what they want to hear so they can get in office. but, then again, the poeple eat up and buy the lies. its like voting for the "lesser of 2 evils". i do not vote for "evil", so i dont vote. now, as many may now know, presidents are selected, and not by our votes. whatever "elites" want a certain president in office is the one that will win, no matter what the people vote. looked what happened when bush ran for office this last time. = \ anyway, that what i think/feel

i think that vote has a dual meaning anymore in practicality. there is the vote of your consciousness, that which you believe to be true and best for all (or i suppose just best for oneself if they are sts), which merely by thinking and feeling it, that vote is cast into the web of consciousness.
then there is the actual physical voting process which is so horribly perverted at this point so as to be utterly insignificant. super-delegates? what happened to one person, one vote? and at this point i'd take a hanging chad over an easily corrupted computer chip anytime. so, in one form of vote, it is surely cast and counted exactly as we intend, but there is nothing more to show it has occurred and we are not necessarily able to see our vote's effect. we can, however, rest assured that our consciousness is an incorruptible ballot. the other form of vote is very tangible. one must make arrangements, remember the date, go to a physical location and go through the process of casting a ballot. with this kind of voting we get all sorts of feedback that we are actually doing something through all the physical activity - but the fact is this vote is as good as worthless. even if my vote is counted correctly, that others are not makes mine just as worthless. i have no more faith in appropriate representation within the physical voting system. so, avoid the rush! vote now! with the vote that counts, your hearts and your love! leave election day to the finaglers and liars. love, blessings, and abundance, frank-o |

greywolf, leo scone, i like both of your thinking -->
i think in a way, we are saying the samething "consciousness voting" but in different ways. putting our thoughts into action when everything else seems false or something we just can not fully trust. set your intent (the best outcome in ones eye) and give birth to the new possiblities, thus releasing to the conscious of one and giving our faith into entire process and plan. i think that vote has a dual meaning "consciousness and physcial" the power of thought working in unity to make (co-create) positive changes. |

vote, what does this truly mean anymore? does the vote come from our heart or our minds?
webster: a decision or choice between; the expression of such a decision or expressed; the right to exercise such a decision; to declare by general opinion expression: to make known; that conveys meaning or feelings; a symbol or set of symbols expressing some algebraic fact is a vote, our voice, our expression, feeling for a candidate's opinion/plan, our vote? are we voting to elect the best candidate to guide us on a path that is just and right for the cause and humanity or do we assume they will handle all our needs once the votes have been counted. it is like we have a minimun number of candiates, limited information trailered to what we want to hear, rather than what needs to be told and heard. the truth is not always known or told, we only hope our heart hears and feels the full truth to make a choice. what do you think a vote means? |
