Default Going Tribal
i just finished watching nearly all of the series on tv called "going tribal". for those of y'all who haven't seen the show it is a reality show about a guy who lives with indiginous tribes all over the world. he eats their food (which can turn your stomach at times ), wears their clothes (well sometimes), and even gets tattooed by one clan.

some of the clans look a bit scary on the outside but once he spent some time with them you get to see that on the inside they are very kind and loving towards each other. i was very impressed by the fact that the common thread, that i saw, throughout all his travels was the sense of community and oneness that they all have. they shared their food with each other and took care of each other.

there are crimes but the way they dealt with this was to deal with the offender with much more wisdom and compassion. i think the concept of the "village elder" has been lost. the eldest really do have more of an understanding of how people should be treated and what to do. of course, there are exceptions, but for the most part an elder man or woman will not try to strong arm you. he will try to reason with you to try to make you come to your senses. which makes more sense to me.

anyway, it was very interesting to me. just wanted to share that.

peace,
foo

yeah, now adays, some of us place our elders in homes and do not care for them. i, personally, would take the opportunity to live with a tribe if i had the opportunity (the ones in the amazon, or the dogon, ect.). i havent seen the show, but it sounds nice.

i don't think i need to live with a tribe, either. i was able to sum up the lessons of living with many tribes in just a few hours. the miracle of things speeding up, eh? it has always been a curiosity of mine but that curiosity has been satisfied.
