i wanted to share this experience with the forum to see if anyone has had similar experiences. i've been studying this 'phenomena' that happens to me for years now. on forums, i've only met two other people that have had something similar.
it's a rather long story, so i will try to sum up certain areas to get the info across in reasonable length. but just know that this is something that happens to this day and is both very really and has been addressed by me as objectivley as possible for the past 5 years.

it was montreal 2003, late summer. i had just returned from a performing contract in st. john's, new foundland. i was utterly exhausted from the rigorous work of touring with a circus all summer. something inside me shifted as i sat on the sofa in an apartment i was lucky enough to snag a year long house sitting job in. all the goals i had set for myself were done. i had nothing left that i wanted to achieve in my career. i felt empty, exhausted, and satisfied in all places except one.
i wanted to know.
i had been reading about ufo phenomena since very vivid dreams as a young teenager. in the past year i had come across both the ra material and the cassiopaean transcripts which sort of blew a hole in my idea of existence.
i sat there on the sofa and sort of...gave up.
i had no desires, no feeling, other than one last thing. i wanted to know if these things existed. it was one of the most sincere questions i have ever asked myself.
i wasn't meditating, i was just sort of sitting there 'not being' or at least, not 'wanting'. just looking at myself from afar almost.
suddenly i felt my forehead throbbing. in front of me, i could see a light shimmering, sort of pulsating. at this point i was in a sort of trance state, as i watched 'portal' opened up in front of me. i saw it as white light coming out of a wormhole or tube in front of me. the light bathed me.
to say the least, i was amazed. i got up from the sofa and shut all the curtains and lights, to make sure i wasn't seeing light coming in from outside . sure enoguh, after a minute of sitting relaxed, it started again. i sat for an hour watching this, amazed beyond belief.
that was the night it all started.
now, each time i close my eyes and relax, i see this portal. it only takes me a few minutes and it starts to pulsate. the color of the light varies, from white, to a brilliant green, to a sort of violet/purple. sometimes i see this light coming to me from a portal, but sometimes it comes striaght from my forehead away from me, down a portal. if i close my eyes, this wormhole stretch away into beyoned, as far as i can see.
along with this, i often see faces in this light, sometimes ugly and grotesque, other times angelic. my dreams and visions seem to be denser concentrations of this light, as if it is the plasma from a tv screen and indeed, it sorts of wavers like a magnetic aurora borealis.
i've been studying the phenomena for a while now. taking notes, writing my dreams down, looking for people with the same experiences. it seems to have all the signs of what psychology calls hypnagogia.
so. anyone else see this sort of thing? like any good researcher, i'm trying to find people with similar experiences so i can cross reference any common themes.

greycat, cool, thanks for sharing. we all would not know that these experiences do happen unless we share.

i had something happen this year, in jan to me. a bright light -- like star came towards me, 10-15 feet. it was also so real and cool and very bright w/lots of color. i have not experienced this before or since, but still remember the experience quite well.
