and he talks about a 'chair' . well it made me think of when i was a child, i saw a man in a chair (more like a thrown with lights) flying across the sky above my house and i'm wondering if these might be relevant to each other.

so does anyone have any 'chair' stories?

only chairs i've seen are the ones in the stargate sg1 series. don't forget the same idea with the ships they use in stargate atlantis. in those ships, you power up and operate via thought.

what's funny about the stargate series, is that they always say only someone with the "ancient" genetic marker can use those items.

but with a personal experience, i had a dream-state vision where i was on a stage of sorts in front of thousands of people and sat in a chair. a type of headband device was placed on my head and images that i could create mentally were projected onto the screen for all the other people to see. i willingly did this to help all those people (although i cannot recall exactly why i was doing it or what help they needed) and there was no negativity associated with the experience and i could stop at any time. it was a single experience and i have not had anything like it since.

in the older star trek voyager series, there was one episode (alice - 1999) where the crew came across a ship junkyard and they found a physical interfacing ship. one crew member tried it and the ship "attached" itself to the character and interact through a special suit. crew member got a little too attached to the whole thing because the interaction part was in the form of a woman.

a similar chair was shown in steven kings 'tommy knockers', it increased psychic power and also was used to fly the ship.
