Default Metaphyisical things to do in LA!
i'm on vacation in la until april 8th. what are some neat sites to see as well as shops that are of interest to this community. i've seen the scientology building but i'm not interested in meeting tom cruise.

i really haven't done much in terms of travel around here... haven't had the time... but in my own personal estimation, the best "metaphysical" destinations are not buildings or businesses, they are places in nature.

there's an epic flower garden just outside la, i forget what it's called, but i went there a while ago and it was really lovely... worth the time.

point dume in malibu is an incredible beach if you want to drive out that far.

there's a park in malibu called charmlee that has some strong energy and gorgeous mountain views you can hike through.

i always have an interesting metaphysical experience moving through the promenade in santa monica, particularly on a weekend when there are more musicians and their quality is better.

in fact, just last weekend i saw "the last mimzy" out there, which was a surprisingly metaphysical film - even though it did still have a psy-ops message that was inspired by negative ets, as i've intended to write about in david's blog and just haven't gotten there yet. despite this fear-oriented apocalyptic message (though they don't do the apocalypse bit in the film), it managed to be as metaphysical as any other film i've seen, more or less.

i would also recommend randomly checking out a hole-in-the-wall comedy club, as even though the humor was gratuitous at times, there are all sorts of underground talent niches around here that are better than you think they'd be.

the best approach, imo, would be to get a copy of the la times, perhaps a weekend edition, and hit the entertainment section. what you ask for is a moving target here in la, changing week by week. there is so much to do that it can seem outrageous... but if you want to have an adventure there's no reason why you can't.
