Default affirmations/prayers for sleep---what can this be used for?
hello

last nights sleep was wonderfull. i dont remember any dreams but when i woke up i feelt so revitalized as i can hardly remeber i have ever been. its like when i was a kid, and for some peroids of time were living in the norwegian countryside by the north sea. its very much the same feeling i woke up with today.

and this happened while sleeping in a location that certainly does not have good vibrations. not at all. the story behind this is as follows: i saw this interview with this guy who among a lot of other stuff, talked about the lost knowledge of using the good forces like guardians and so on to get them to wake you up if you have any psychic attacks. so thats what i did. and i was woken many times during the night, and repeated my prayers.

so my question is this: what other things can prayers be used for during the hours of sleep? i know i can use this for making me remeber my dreams and write them down, and also for lucied dreaming. are there any other things i can do? i might sound like a prayer megalomaniac now, but i would really like to have the whole picture, to know if there are other things to explore too.

hi anupama, glad to hear you're sleeping well. there's nothing more rejuvinating than a good night's sleep imho.
what other things can prayers be used for during the hours of sleep? i know i can use this for making me remeber my dreams and write them down, and also for lucied dreaming. are there any other things i can do? you are really only limited by your imagination. right before sleep and as soon as you wake up are two of the most potentially powerful times to program your mind. i think the reason not more people do this is that they aren't truly aware of how powerful they really are. here are some of the things i do at different times, depending on what i'm working on at the time.

clear, focused intent is your most powerful tool. your results will be directly proportional to the amount of energy and focus and trust you put into the process. "ask and it will be given unto you!"

* ask for insight and guidance in whatever challenges you're currently dealing with, to come while you sleep.
* ask that while you sleep, your body become realigned with its divine blueprint.
* request that your spirit be taken to the temples of higher learning.
* ask to be attuned to a higher and increased level of light so you can be an anchor of light for mother earth.
* ask the angels of healing to work on your body [or any epecific area] as you sleep.
* request a realignment of your energy body, and that all your chakras be opened, cleansed, rebalanced and purified.
* and if you're not sure what to ask for, just ask for help in learning all your lessons easily, gracefully, and joyfully so that you are a positive influence to all things and people around you.

best of luck with this process; it is very powerful!

i found this quote by ra, which may elucidate the process somewhat.
...work may be done in consciousness while the so-called conscious mind rests, the adept may call upon those which guide it, those presences which surround it, and, most of all, the magical personality which is the higher self in space/time analog as it moves into the sleeping mode of consciousness. with these affirmations attended to, the activity of dreaming reaches that potential of learn/teaching which is most helpful to increasing the distortions of the adept towards its chosen polarity.
there are other possibilities of the dreaming not so closely aligned with the increase in polarity which we do not cover at this particular space/time.

questioner: how is the dream designed or programmed? is it done by the higher self, or who is responsible for this?

ra: i am ra. in all cases the mind/body/spirit complex makes what use it can of the faculty of the dreaming. it, itself, is responsible for this activity.

questioner: then you are saying that the subconscious is responsible for what i will call the design or scriptwriter for the dream. is this correct?

ra: i am ra. this is correct.

questioner: is the memory that the individual has upon waking from the dream usually reasonably accurate? is the dream easily remembered?

ra: i am ra. you must realize that we are over-generalizing in order to answer your queries as there are several sorts of dreams. however, in general, it may be noted that it is only for a trained and disciplined observer to have reasonably good recall of the dreaming. this faculty may be learned by virtue of a discipline of the recording immediately upon awakening of each and every detail which can be recalled. this training sharpens one’s ability to recall the dream. the most common perception of a mind/body/spirit complex of dreams is muddied, muddled, and quickly lost.

questioner: in remembering dreams, then, you are saying that the individual can find specific clues to current energy center blockages and may, thereby, reduce or eliminate those blockages. is this correct?

ra: i am ra. this is so.

thanks a lot for your help my head is spinning with posibilites.

this is very exciting. i must tell you that i had a very interesting night. i was only woken up once this night, but the presence of my guide (or whatever i should call it) was so clear and strong while going to bed. i was actually quite shocked, but in a good way.

this really is a turning point in my life. its like the tool ive always been missing.

anupama, sleeping like a child :d
