iapetus
new -- 1 may 2007

nowhere is objectivity in modern science so clearly challenged as in the case of the wildly eccentric moon of saturn, the one named after the greek titan, iapetus. it is one thing to have the kind of variations in geologic characteristics as are exhibited by the galilean satellites of jupiter; it is quite another to have a sufficient number of totally unique features so as to require some extraordinary and highly creative explanations. in terms of anomalies iapetus is loaded!

the yin/yang moon

there is, for example, the solar system’s most dramatic variation in the coloration between the leading and trailing hemispheres of the satellite. this premier feature of iapetus has been referred to as the yin/yang appearance, first captured in all of its glory in the first images taken by the voyager spacecraft. the mythology discloses iapetus as son of gaia and uranus,
aka mother earth and father sky.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/iapetus_(mythology)

its fascinating how both technology and mythology seem
to interweave meaningful connections in some cases.

possibly "thinkingwolf" has a "god star" somewhere prominant in the natal chart...

the term "god star" reminds me of the "peacock star" at longitude 23cap49.
http://users.winshop.com.au/annew/new_page_1.htm

part of the reason i think of this is that its very close to my natal venus.

take a look at what hoagland wrote about iapetus years ago. they are 6, very long, pages, but worthy to be read.

there appears patterns for me, though i can see patterns
staring at a blank textured wall or clouds - a strange mind
in that way. well, the titans - they remind me of some
concept from ra, that of the fifth density negatives. it
may be that these concepts are very ancient but most
of us for whatever reason aren't quite able to see those
patterns and others.
