I found a hypnosis file that is made specifically for Astral Travel. I can post the link if you want, but I have yet to listen to it to make sure if it has any unwanted suggestions or subliminals (the guy has a thing for that). I'm not using it because I feel it would feel more of an accomplishment if I learned to do this on my own. Are you sure it's trustworthy? You yourself have reservations in regards to the guy since from what you said he likes to add "extras".
