Hello there, I just want to run this by some of you concious OBE specialists. I have been experiencing spontaneous sepration vibrations in my sleep for about 3 years now. Until last year April of 2009 I was terrified of them thinking it was me having a heart attack or being abducted by a spirit or something. The turing point came last April when I just let it go through and had my first experience of floating and that turned into a 15 minute lucid dream. Since then I have them about 2-5 times per month. I tend to be a light sleeper so its easy for me to jump out of my dream state and observe the spontaneous OBE in progress. Somethimes I wake up 1-2 mins before the vibration start so I can feel them come about. Its quite intense and I can see flashes of images in my mind's eye and depending how im laying I can float up, down or get pulled out f the bed. Sometimes they are complete dud's and I think the poor Astral double can't get out and we tend to fight each other (but thats another story).
I bought Astral Dynamics after this 1st experience and learned these sensations I was feeling was most definately the vibrations he was describing during the concious exit method. I began work to recreate these experiences using energy work and relaxation. I have read the book and even bought the step-by-step one Mastering Astral Projection. I have no problem loosening my energy body and feeling the amazing feeling of heat and energy rushing through my body...but I can never create vibrations. I get myself all paralized and ready to go my arms, legs and lower body feel like a pile of mud but I cant get the seperation vibrations...I know I have them, but not when I want them. ![]() If anyone can shed any light on how i can have these vibrations at "my will" instead of whenever would be much appreciated. ![]() Thanks Alex |

Hello, Alex.
I think it's just great you have so many spontaneous chances to get out. I'd definitely would explore that, it is your first and best bet to actually developing your energy bodies. As long as you are conscious that the exit process is happening chances for lucid experiences with good recall are very high, and that's what counts in my opinion. Having experiences at will and with ultimate conscious control is a goal that can get people sidetracked. If you can pull it off - great! If doing the exercises helps you get there - great! But valueing spontaneous experiences any less - probably not a good idea. These spontaneous experiences may dry up when holding certain attitudes ("I'd rather have them at will than this") and that's probably not what you want. So, do the practices, enjoy your spontaneous experiences, and don't get hung up on the idea of having them at will, I'd say. Take care, Oliver |
