Default is there an exercise to see auras...
is there an exercise to enable you to see auras and energies, or is this a gift from birth.

From my own readings, third eye activation is the key, and is something we can all do.

alright thank you both for taking the time to answer. the reason i asked this is because my grandmother claims she is psychic. and from an early age i wanted to develop my abilities and i asked her how i could do it, and she told me that i never could because i wasnt gifted from god. but thanks for clarifying.

Hmm. Well, in one respect I understand what she means. Some people are naturally better at some things than others. Yes, some people appear to be naturally better at mystical and psychic things than others. BUT... I don't believe that this means that unless you're "gifted" you can't develop in many areas related to psychic phenomena. You may need to be "born" a mystic or maybe it's just that some people are and others have to work really hard to cultivate it.

An analogy for you. I never would have been a great ballerina, though I studied ballet for some years and developed a lot of strength and flexibility and I understood a lot of the theory. As it turns out, I'm simply not built to be a ballerina (too curvy), nor do I appear to have the willingness to endure the necessary physical training (which can be downright punishing) necessary to become that.

Does this mean I can't ever dance? Or that the years I spent studying ballet were wasted? Not at all. In fact, if I'd really wanted to pursue dance, I probably could have found another style of dance that might have suited me (jazz dance, perhaps) and I could have, theoretically, ended up as a choreographer or something along those lines. I could have still pursued my interest in dance, had my interest persisted past puberty.

Same thing with psychic abilities, and with mysticism and various other esoteric pursuits. Some people are naturally good at it, some have to work at it, but I do not believe nor have I ever believed that some people are just magically able to do something and everyone else has to sit in awe of them, unable to do any of it. That's just nonsense. You may never be able to do some things, or you may find some things develop as you get older, etc., but this whole "worship the talent" thing has always rubbed my fur backwards (you see it a lot in the arts, too, where "talent" is an idol and anyone who appears to have any of it is treated as if they were touched by angels or something ).

Anyway. You can develop all sorts of abilities. Don't worry about the "gifted from God" thing. You're plenty gifted, you just need to find and develop the gifts you do have, and work a little harder at the things where you're not as naturally capable.

Being born with a propensity to some sort of ability (such as being a piano virtuoso) is a gift from God, but God also gave us the ability to study and develop our talents, which is why anyone can learn to play the piano, even if they're never going to be Mozart.

Hey OW. We double posted!

Hey OW. We double posted!
And we said almost the same thing, only in concise and verbose modes.

Hi,
I can say, with practice, one can see auras.
However, my personal experience is like this: I've practiced the techniques in Robert's works.
However, everyone is different.

When I've tried to see them, I usually didn't. I've practced on inanimate and animate things. But, for some reason, I can see the auras of trees.

I think the biggest thing to know is just to be aware---aware that such a thing as auras exist. Awareness is the key to any psychic phenomomena.
Our daily activities tend to occupy our senses, thus lowering our awareness of these things.

Continue meditating using the Astral Projection Techniques and just think about these kind of things during the day. Awareness take practice.
It is very very very easy to see or hear something and not be aware of it because of our daily activities. As you become more aware, you'll notice all kinds of things that are there, but usually miss.

For me, I actually stopped trying intentionally to see auras, but still looked for them. Then, all of a sudden, while not looking for them, I started seeing peoples auras. I somehow became aware of what I was seeing. I don't see them all the time. Usually, maybe just a casual glance, a persons aura becomes plain as day. Why? I don't know. It doesn't happen every day. Maybe conditions are just right, maybe the person has some sort of extra emminence. Now I am starting to notice the auras more and more---its just happening by itself---maybe I'm becoming more "aware".

If you AP, you'll notice auras, you'll also see them with Astral Vision. (Your pets and other animals also have auras----try to practice seeing theirs)

Don't dwell on trying to see them--one day you'll be looking at someone or something and you'll say,"Holy mackeral! I can see their aura!".

I know that I've harped on awareness-----as you practice any of these astral phenomena, your awareness will "grow/become" more apparent and you'll start seeing/experiancing all kinds of things-----they tend to take you by surprise.

Grant

I like to sit in dim light in my sacred space , deep breath cleanse , raise energy , close eyes and look with the third eye at a sitter across from me . I find that the crown and shoulders are the easiest place to see on another and on self the fingers held out as far as you can stretch the arm in front of the face , helps too.
