My advice is to go to the OBE Research and Discussion subforum and look for a stickied post in it titled "How to OBE from a Lucid Dream." the words may be slightly different but the topic is labeled.

I've been interested that such a connection between lucid dreams and OBE has been made.

Which to me, brings the question, what exactly are dreams? What exactly are OBE's?

They are all projections of the conscious mind into the unconscious mind. Whether they happen physically outside the body is almost besides the point. The universe/multiverse is energy, matter is energy, the mind is the shaper of energy because the mind is information. The projection of the conscious mind can be to the collective mind or the personal mind. Either way, you can call it what you want.

Interesting thread,

Astral projection is about the separation of your consciousness from the physical body in order to explore new dimensions outside of the realm known to the physical. An out of body experience is simply a separation of your astral consciousness from the physical body in a "real" world environment. More cases of this has been known, which enables experts more materials to understand the nature of this occurrence and determine its commonality. Out of body experience is certainly gaining more attention, which has helped whose quest is to find more information about the significance of this phenomenon.

I believe the main differences between OBEs and lucid dreams are the different types of nonphysical energy bodies which are utilized by the individual, and which dimensions are accessed in each type of projection. It seems lucid dreaming is done in more of a mental energy body, in more subjective inner realms, where as OBEs are done in the etheric energy body double and astral body(s), in realms which are more collectively created, but still subjective inner dimensions.

Anyway, I have converted many lucid dreams to OBEs. What I do is think about going back to my body and having an OBE. I instantly find myself in my body just as my energy body double is rising out. However, these days I don't consider OBEs to be any better than lucid dreams. It was silly of me to think that before. They are both equally valid methods of exploring nonphysical levels.

No, you just have to get to the point of being able to lucid dream. The projection is the easy part. Remembering to do it is the hard part.
I don't think any of us is a pro here, except for Robert, by definition- and a lot of us can do it.
