I had a series of dreams last night, and after the last one, I projected to somewhere I believed to be another realm.

I was in my bed. Since I woke up near day break, I started to try to OBE, which I need to get into that half awake half asleep state. But then my cat jumped on my bed. I was like oh my God, I am trying to OBE here. (My cat often walked on me, trying to wake me up.) He then jumped out of the bed. I went back to my attempt.

I started to have feeling falling backwards. I fell and fell, feeling I was heading somewhere. There were streaks of light flying next to me, while I was moving, then blackout like one or two second. Then I heard someone said hey good news. I said what. I looked out the window, here was this massive massive UFO ship, in the air right in front of me. It occupied almost all of my sight. There are a lot of people there. Everything was in vivid colors and great details. I was like, wow, this is definitely another world. I have never seen with such intensity and great details. From the UFO ship, there are something extended from it with purple dots. Children and parents were in some type of events. Everyone is happy and cheerful, in a kind of festive atmosphere. I looked to the left, some soldiers in green uniform and caps are doing something on the table, with their back facing me. They are making dough. I talked to one of them. I don’t remember what he told me.

So I keep on walking and I was so excited to see everything. I was like I have to remember this. I need to talk into my recorder. While having this thought, there seemed to be a woman who is like a host of this place or this world watching me, smiling. So I try to grab my recorder, but at the same time wondered if I can get it now that I am in another location? I grab something from somewhere looking like my bed, it is my recorder. I started talking into it, recording everything from the start. At the same time, I kept on walking. I started to go up stairs and there are a lot of shops. People sell shirts, and ornaments. I found that while I am recording, I am not paying attention to what’s going on around me. But I was so happy that I got this on tape.

Then I decided that I wanted to fly. So I jumped in the air, with my recorder in my hand. While I am in the air, I started to feel this energy in my belly. The movement started to feel heavy, and the scene seemed to start to fade away, while my real surrounding came back to me.

When I woke up, I realized that I didn’t actually record it.

Before this projection, I had two dreams, where I became lucid and then started to attempt to soar in the air.

My question to this projection is: how do we explain why I didn't actually get to record, while I did hold the recorder and talk into it. Is this bilocation, where in the astral, I recorded it, but I only thought I did it in the real time because I also sensed my real surrounding?

Also, before this, I became aware to be in my bed in real time. But it can be false awake too. But my cat did jump on my bed to wake me, which I totally was aware of it.

What is the differences b/t projecting in a false awake state and wake induced projection?

You can be aware of two bodies, sure. I recently thought I had to record something from a lucid dream and then noticed that I was still dreaming. I must have accessed my etheric body instead of my physical body. I nearly "bought it" but I noticed some differences that made me sure that I am actually not really recording anything. It could have been a false awakening, but I stayed lucid and played with it, so I must have been "somewhere", and it was not really the same as the dream. Some indicators led me to believe I was in my etheric body.

I had several cases where I switched energy body - upwards and downwards - during dreams/projections. At least I believe so. I think I have switched astral body (also dream body) to mental body and astral body to etheric body, either by walking through a door or by willing it in some way (like when having the intent to record that dream).

Oliver Thank you so much Oliver. This makes sense that this might be an etheric body projection!

What did you notice that told you you were not recording? Also what were the indicators that indicate we might be in the etheric body?

Is false awakening the same as "becoming lucid in a dream" where we can use the opportunity to explore the astral realms?

I had several clues. For once, I shouted in my dream "I have etheric vision!" ... I felt in the dream like using the physical body, but there were differences. For example in resistance to movement. It was easier to move. And I had that feeling that my vision moved through "places" that I could identify with my body.

So, in this dream I had experiences of acting from my etheric body and within it. I realised that mostly afterward.

I'd say, every experience where we are lucid opens a window for exploration - what there is to find and where it can lead, I really don't know. If I were more lucid or longer lucid in these states, I would play and experiment with them. I just only rarely remember or get distracted soon.

That's happened to me at least once before - though in my case I use pen and paper under my bed. I actually thought I was writing something down (and was even concerned that my writing is a bit too big and that I'm wasting space on the paper), but when I woke up I realized I hadn't written anything.

Andy Isn't that disappointing? It is possible that we are recording with our energy body and didn't get to record it in our physical body. No wonder there would not be any recording there.

Yep, that's my cat - although at times she's not very friendly, she's very intelligent, even compared to other cats I've seen. I get the feeling that she looks at us humans condescendingly, even though we're taller, we provide the food, and we know that mirrors aren't other rooms - but then again, there's a lot we don't know about cats and animals in general, and from what I've read on the forums they are probably avid astral projectors.

I have decent dream recall, but if I don't write stuff down right away it's gone. However, I've found that it depends on the dream - emotionally-charged dreams are likely to be remembered more easily, while "mundane" dreams might fade away almost immediately.

My cat helps me become lucid sometimes. He often walks around when I am in deep sleep and then maybe get me wake up a little bit. But when I try to stay very still to try generte my astral double, if if jump on the bed, that ruin every thing.

One time when my cat slept on my bed next to me, I felt there is a vibrating energy. First I thought it's me, then I found that it probably is my cat.

They definitely are very intelligent. But sometimes when you see them chase their own tails, you really can't help but shake your head.
