Has anyone personally done this or heard of someone meeting another person in the astral, exchanged phone numbers, or contact information and actually made contact with them on the physical plane? I would think that would be hard to remember all those numbers but someone has to have done this...

This is not what you exactly asked but along the similar line. I read it somewhere, not remember where, that this author projected and then saw one of this friends in the astral. Both were surprised. This author asked this friend how long he has been doing this. His friend said he is dead. The next day this author called up his friend's house and this wife told him that his friend just died in the previous month.

The other thing I heard or watched on youtube was that this guy told his professor that he can project. His professor told him to project that night and go look for him. This guy did project and being taken to a house, into a room, saw the professor's wife for the first time and this professor. Then the next day, he described what he saw to his professor. It turned out to be pretty accurate.

It's possible, since all subconscious's are in contact with one another, but you would have to be aware in some form during the experience and remember the experience to know what happened when you wake up again.
