So I been practicing plus experiment and so far I'm getting a little bit ahead then before. Now the final thing is getting out, that is where I'm struggling. I haven't been doing energy work sense I been experimenting. My first day of experimenting was drifting of to sleep while have my forearm up until it slowly comes down. Then I start getting small vibrations mostly in my legs and maybe other parts of the body. After that the feeling of my whole body slowly decreases I got into a state of consciousness. I started having vibrations and at the same time pain in my chest. So I tried to separate from my body by visualizing that I'm drifting of into the air. But sense the pain in my chest was distracting I stopped and the state of consciousness was gone.
Then I tried yesterday, I did the same thing with my forearm until I was in a state of consciousness. I had small vibrations, so I started imagining floating up. When all of the sudden, I get this visualization of like two bright windows standing next to each other and they start moving towards each other. They both look blurry when they started moving and I was a little bit shocked because it happened out of no where that I didn't know what to do next. Eventually it stopped and I woke up out of the consciousness. What can I do to be more prepare to finally get out? |

If you've never had an OBE yet, don't panic and don't think that all of your efforts go down the drain.
I once was really nuts about the topic and i really wanted to get out of my body, just to prove to myself that it is real. Every day i spent at least 2 hours doing energy work and had some significant pulsations in my chakras; and about an hour meditating. I've experienced vibrations and many other symptoms that occur right before an OBE, but i've never really made it out during the time of my intense preparation. So i gave up, the only thing i felt the training gave me, was improved dream recall, which is also useful. Within the past 6 months, i had 3 OBEs and each of them was something incredible. Now i just realise that it all depends on the situation, sometimes when my head touches the pillow, within seconds i know that now is the time... I'm not saying that you should give up, I'm just saying don't feel bad about failing to get there, what you're doing now, will definitely pay off later. For me, it may depend on the moment, but without the energy works, long meditations and the tips that i got given on this forum, i would have still never made it. I know there are a lot of experienced travelers here which can help you with a useful advice, but if you're like me, who always struggled to get out, then just don't worry, be patient and wait for the moment. If you put effort into it - it will happen to you. And trust me... it's worth it. |

Thanks, I actually given up. I release it will come when the right time comes. It can be discouraging and stressful when it doesn't work the way I expected it to to be. So it is better to wait but I'm still meditating though. Ditto to CF on the chest pains. Trance can amplify and highlight existing problems. Take care, Oliver |

Ditto to CF on the chest pains. Trance can amplify and highlight existing problems. Take care, Oliver The chest pain are long gone plus it was just that night. I went last month to the doctor for a check up he said my heart is healthy. I have had problems with my heart when I was younger. It was a small heart murmur, but it is long gone. I thought it was the heart chakra though, I been reading that sometimes when people are almost getting out they feel as their heart starts thumping fast or feels a sensation in the chest. |

Hi there,
Don't give up just yet. Remember, you really have to have the time put aside for this, so you don't have to rush. Clear your mind about what has to be accomplished for the day, at least for a little while. I know it can be very very frustrating. However, keep thinking about it and maybe try it in the afternoon, sort of as if you were going to take an afternoon nap. Dim the room, get yourself cozy, close your eyes, and just lie down and relax----relax-----relax deeper with each breath. Concentrate on the breathing, in---out, relax. The quietness of the room and maybe some of the outside sounds might just lull you into quite a relaxed state. Do not try to accomplish ANYTHING, just lie there and relax, think of nothing but relaxing and breathing. You may find to your surprise, that a trance happens----do not respond at all; and if not, just enjoy the moment. If the vibrations come--let them--don't do anything. You cannot mistake the vibrations. If the vibrations occur, a time will come when you know its time to try to get out. Reach up with your astral arms, grab at the space above and very quickly pull yourself out. If nothing happens, try again. If you didn't get out, don't worry about it. It may take several attempts. If you didn't get out, the trance will probably end very very quickly. Don't try to start all over again, but wait until another time, maybe that night. Don't fill up your belly with supper, ie eat lightly. It will happen eventually and I'll admit its hard if there is family running around at the time. Do not follow a strict set of instructions, since you'll always be thinking about what to do next. Try the above, that seems to work the best for me--giving me many real time zone OBEs. GRANT |
