I'm now rather sure I have for the third time experienced something I can only call "sleep telepathy". I talk to other people either during my dreams or during sleep. I have caught snippets of that.
In the first instance, my wife seemed to comment on a dream I had while I was in it. In the second instance, my wife and I were discussing a dream while I was having it, and I became lucid, switched out of the dream and tried to talk to her directly, which got me excited and ended the experience. In the third instance, this weekend I talked to my mother during the early ours. She told me something. I don't remember. All three occurrances took place in a place where I could hear and speak, but I don't remember any visuals and did not miss them either. I can only speculate, but somehow I think this place had no space as we know it, and no visual experiences. Maybe I only could not see, but it was strange how I did not miss that. The funny thing is that this experience does not pertain to the dreamscape/astral, as it can happen in parallel, so possibly it happens at another frequency of myself at the same time, if that makes any sense. I have other vague memories of being told stuff in my sleep, but cannot recollect what. I also have vague memories of drifting and telling myself stories or just talking, but those were not visual dreams either. All these experiences took place in sleep, light sleep, or at the edge to falling asleep. Oliver |

I've had similar experiences with people from time to time. I've definitely had REAL communication with people in my dreams/sleep. Why it happens when you're sleeping or near sleep is probably just that your defences are lower and your ego isn't running around trying to boss everything into control.

From my experience there are 2 different types, one type is a direct communication, the other is a range communication where there are a whole bunch of people talking at once and you can isolate different conversations.
Why don't you remember what it was like and try to apply that in the waking world with someone? Start off with simple exercises. |

I've had experiences I could only interpret as telepathy, assuming they are not just coincidences...
For instance, I dreamt that I was at my parents' and they were installing surveillance cameras all over the place... When I woke up, I found out they had just bought a webcam and were waiting for me to wake up and get on MSN so I could give them some assistance. Another time, my mom called me on the phone and woke me up. I said "hey, that's funny, I was just dreaming of you, you were making broccoli." "Wait... What? That's creepy. I'm making broccoli right now..." "Really?" "Yeah, and it's the first time I cook that in months!" I'm also experiencing a lot of weird synchronicities with my girlfriend... But it's hard to tell if those are coincidences or not... It's simple things, like picking up the phone to call her only to have it ring in my hand... There's one I found particularly interesting: I was starting to fall asleep at the keyboard while talking to her on the computer one night, and I had a vision for about a split second as I dozed off, I was looking down at a hardwood floor from the ceiling. This was accompanied by a kind of "rush" feeling, like a jolt of electricity. So I look up at the screen, and she says this: "I just smelled you. You know how everyone has a unique smell? I just smelled that even though you're not here! Weird, right?" Yep. Frickin weird. So yeah... Sleep telepathy... I can believe in that |

Yeah I am not too sure why those things happen, 1 part telepathy 1 part psychic, reason unknown...maybe for you to pay attention to changes in you and that you are on the right track?
That happens to me all the time and I still haven't figured it out completely. My conclusion for myself is that it was telepathy; Just imagine how many people you have thought about out of nowhere for no particular reason that you haven't spoken to after. They sent you that thought about them...I used to use it like a phone and call people right after, and they would say I was just thinking of you...but I wouldn’t share the reason why I called, using it as an exercise to test my theories. After I proved it to myself, I started to ignore it because I didn't feel it was all that important. Then again I had more on my plate to deal with than that, if I had the time I might have taken it further. When you start developing these things, you realize you are all alone and that others are not at the same level as you. Fortunately forums like these make it possible to connect and understand things better. I think what is more impressive is that you figured out the nature of one your experiences, and know where to ask for any additional help, confirming you are moving in the right direction. |
