Hey everyone!
I had an interesting experience this morning which i would like to share: I was woken up around 9am this morning by a phone call, and went to bed straight after. As soon as my head touched the pillow, i felt those familiar but rare vibrations and knew exactly what was coming. So tried to stay as calm as possible and tried to let go of myself. As my body went completely numb and i felt weightless, i could feel myself rising up towards the ceiling and the next moment i found myself not far from my own body. It is my first ever RTZ experience, if indeed it wasn't a dream. To begin with, i looked at my hands, almost instinctively, without any particular reason, and slowly ventured forth. I paid close attention to my surrounding which looked very much the same way it did when i woke up - meaning it could quite possible be RTZ projection. As i moved through my house, i felt strange sensation, as if i was being pulled towards my left, right into my backyard. As if some kind of "wind" was dragging my weightless "body" somewhere. The "wind" would periodically intensify or die down, but not for long. I tried to hold onto something, but couldn't, eventually i tried to claw into the very floor, but it didn't turn out to be effective. And so i was blown outside and lifted up into the sky, where i completely lost control over my direction. I just couldn't handle the situation anymore, and i woke up. Even though it was a pleasant experience and all, hovering above my neighbourhood sounds like fun, really, but i was frustrated with the absence of control... Has anyone else encounter such phenomenon as this so called "wind"? how to fight it and what could have caused it if it wasn't a dream? And I'm pretty positive that it wasn't a dream... I've only had a few projections in my life, all of them felt very special - this morning felt like one of them. |

thnks a lot for your responses guys!
stargazer: i've looked up astral wind on google and found the source that made me speechless: http://books.google.co.nz/books?id=PId1 ... #PPA413,M1 i must say... i was stunned to read it... indeed it was an RTZ and it did take me all the way into the sky... To be honest, i was slighly skeptical of OBEs, even though i've had a few experiences before, but after reading this, it seems to fully align with what i've experienced, it can't possibly be a fabrication. i've never even heard of this before, but it described my experience in details... According to this source, it was meant to take me back or forth in time and that's what i can't get out of my mind right now... sherbaugh.joshua: your explanation sounds quite logical, it may well was going to show me something interesting... I really hope that an opportunity like that will come again. It really made me question the seriousness of the astral realm... |

According to this source, it was meant to take me back or forth in time and that's what i can't get out of my mind right now... I don't think it is "meant " to take you anywhere in particular. But, it is usually somewhere important for you to see. |

it is nice to get confirmation, alright! =)
Its also strange that i cannot recall a smooth landing - as i was dragged up into the sky, i cannot remember much really, and eventually woke up. Maybe i did too lose consciousness and was taken somewhere... Also, i find it weird to think of what seems to be a chaotic force that takes you to a certain destination (if you guys are saying it would show you something important), it makes me ponder the nature of this force, but perhaps, that would be going a bit too far, particularly for an inexperienced traveler like myself. What's the whole Akasha thing, btw? there is just about nothing on Akashic Pulse, just found some song, but Akashic records, seems to elicit a vague idea of what it is... if it is related to Akashic Pulse at all... and what is an astral classroom..? |

Akasha- the Quintessenstial element.
The ancients catalogued existing reality as comprising of four elements. These were not elements how modern science views elements (the smallest unit of something). For the ancients the elements were the most basic qualities matter could have. The elements then were fire, water, air and earth. Once again, we're not talking about 'a piece of ground', or a flame, but the quality inherent in material reality. So for example fire would be the expansive, radiative (radiant), hot quality of an element, something that almost any material has (for example, you walk, get hot, radiate heat & light, that would be the fire element in you....etc.) Such are the other three elements- water (magnetic, withdrawing, cold, heavy, fluid) Air (space, lightness, etc) earth (heavy cohesive nature of things)- you get the picture. Ancients believed in cause and effect, but they considered the potential world, the spiritual, nonmaterial world to be the cause of the material- from the spirit comes matter (unlike some religions nowadays), and considered a fifth element, which was inherent in all the four elements, and called this Akasha. Akasha is the quintessential (quint=five) and is sometimes thought of as the fifth element. But quintessence also means the precursor, the originator from which it comes. That way, while matter is said to express four elements in differing strength (for example, material water will be mostly water element, but will have other elemental properties also, but akasha is also in it, and it is in each element. It is the precursor to the element. The whole purpose of transmutation is to extract the Akasha from the material (as would alchemists try to do) but not as the precursor (because it is not material) so Akasha would not be the precursor nor the result of the work- it is essence, that knows no duality or polarity. So Akasha can be described as primordial element, as primordial matrix, as the nonphysical emanation that permeates everything, etc. The philosopher's stone is the akasha that is somehow derived from a series of alchemical combinations, or unions-of opposite. I think you get the idea. So the Akashic record is the imprint of everything that has ever happened on the akasha. The greeks called it ether (or aether). The ether or akasha is the matrix, the imprint is the effect of whatever we think or do on the matrix. A record. We then access the record by 'traveling' to the akashic record, in projection, claivoyant episode or dreamstate. We call the titled phenomenon Akashic Wind or Akashic Pulse because of the 'all of a sudden' way it 'strikes', a force of nature, if you will. Like being taken away by a hurricane or tornado. But we can only speculate as to what it's true nature is- only on what we've experienced of the phenomenon. Astral means star, probably because of the report from most projectors of sometimes finding themselves in a starry field when they project (and I sometimes see it as a vision screen, as an rv). Paracelsus equated the word astral with quintessence also, which is why it's sometimes used interchangeably with ether/ic, or akasha/ic. Old-Fashioned Metaphysicists tended to separate astral from etheric by level- etheric would be closer to physical, and astral more removed from it. Since you sometimes end up in the RTZ (etheric) and sometimes end up in the 'star field' (Astral) it was classified as 'different places'. But as worldviews and paradigms change, we have (or most of us have) come to see the terms RTZ and Astral as degrees of the same phenomenon, degrees of separation from the physical, since some regions of the astral are virtually undistinguishable from the RTZ, except for the content of the experience, making the distance more psychological than anything else. Of course, like everything, this is debatable and will probably continue to be debated. We mostly say 'astral' when we mean 'nonphysical'- but the terms energetic, nonphysical, etheric apply, and some more that I haven't thought of. So an astral classroom is a classroom (teaching temple, etc.) located in the 'astral plane', or dreamstate lesson- which are essentially the same 'places', except that the experience will be mostly better remembered in projection or lucid dream, but is also something that happens in regular dreams, and mostly consciously forgotten. All ways of developing. I hope this clears things up if you can get through it. |

I posted a thread many years ago about how during any visualizations I had (or daydreams that I became aware of) a force would pull me around in the vision. It was almost impossible to resist, though I think that I did resist it occasionally, by imposing an identical visualization on top of the existing one and having it relapse to the correct one if it ever changed, making for "choppy" but progressive visualization.
This wind idea reminds me of it. I never really let the force pull me around in the visualization, because I assumed it was my subconscious being annoying, or something negative (i.e. I'd be riding a scooter, and I'd feel a force pulling me sideways and towards the ground, which would, theoretically, hurt). Sometimes I'd feel a spinning during everyday activities which was definitely subtle in nature which was, in turn, extremely hard to resist. Either way, very interesting. |

Sachiel, our experienced could be similar, but as i gathered you're talking about visualization or projection into the astral, whereas I had a real-time zone experience. I couldn't really use my visualization nor I had enough time, also considering that i'm not that experienced at it. It is certainly a strange phenomenon...

Yeah, I know. I can't project at will yet, so the RTZ is pretty much out of the question for me to actively test right now.
However, it seems like if I have that effect during visualization, I might have it during other trance states or projected states as well. I remember reading something about accessing the astral through visualization, with the drawback being the lack of direct control only being able to see it as well as visualized material. I think that it's reasonable, then, to be affected by an astral wind during this. I could be incorrect. So, I tried it. I did this visualization-to-RTZ without actually remembering this wind thing until I started getting pulled away. I remembered then, and let it take me away. Clouds. A lapse in the visualization, and then I ended up in a strange swampy area. It didn't seem like a past or present. I'm not really even sure what it's about. Wish I could project. |

I remember reading something about accessing the astral through visualization, with the drawback being the lack of direct control only being able to see it as well as visualized material. I think that it's reasonable, then, to be affected by an astral wind during this. This sounds like phasing. Is this what you mean? I could be incorrect. You are probably correct, but there is a caveat, which I will mention shortly. Sounds like you projected to me. Now the caveat: I've been consciously projecting for about 4-5 years, and can remember astral wind only one or two times. According to Robert's theories, astral wind/pulse probably happens regularly, but the trick is to be out of body consciously or exiting consciously when this happens. If it happens when you're awake, you're not going to know you did it, and if you're asleep you will probably not realize you got 'blown away'- you may dream of an event like it (that is, experience it subconsciously) and blow it off (pardon the pun) as 'just a dream'. So the chances of having an OBE and experiencing astral wind are probably relatively slim. Not slim per se, just probably won't be experienced as often as it actually happens. Now for my other comment- Sachiel, if you are a natural phaser (that is, phasing into the astral comes naturally to you) and you feel the need to have an RTZ OBE there is a way (besides energy raising) to be able to complete the maneuver: You can phase into the astral, completely lucid (or as you can be), then ask to be taken to your body (and you will experience your body at that moment). Then, do not move, stay in trance, and soon you will probably feel vibrations- then do the rope technique (my favorite for vibrations or forcing the issue) and you will have an RTZ OBE. It may not last long but you will have the experience. This method also works from a lucid dream- provided you can keep your lucidity when you decide you want your body awareness. So good luck. |

Phasing! That was it.
Hey, if what I do is legitimate I suppose I'm a "natural phaser" but it's sort of difficult to take that conclusion without confirmation. Plus, wouldn't my mind interfere with this sort of receptive visualization moreso than it might normally if I was actually projected? Either way, I'll give it a shot. Thanks! PS: I'm PRETTY sure I didn't project from the quoted experience, because I was definitely in a bus and tensing muscles occasionally to avoid slumping onto the person next to me. Also, I jumped from my house to my body, and was unable to remember or perceive what kind of vehicle I was in. So, altered state, yes. I'm not sure what else. |

i don't know much about astral wind and i don't have much experience, but i've only managed to project from one position: comfortably laying on my back in sort of a straight position.. But i've heard of people prefering to project in a lazyboy chair in an upright position, so who knows, it might be possible to make it on a bus seat.
Astral wind, from the research i've done on it, it is a rather rare phenomenon that would be more likely to affect experienced projectors, which means that i just got lucky, if you can call it so... From this, i could say that these statements, it could be possible that you just had a dream, particularly if you were thinking about that astral wind phenomenon right before you fell asleep, it could explain the reason you've encountered it. CFTraveler, even though the wind confused me to begin with, it led me to find some info on Akashic Records, do you think it is possible to access it through an astral projection? because i seems as though i am likelier to have an AP rather than an RTZ projection and the rope technique never worked for me before... From the info that i found on it, there only were refs on how to get there through an RTZ, but i would imagine the same concepts would apply to an AP. or is it not as easy as it sounds...? |

CFTraveler, even though the wind confused me to begin with, it led me to find some info on Akashic Records, do you think it is possible to access it through an astral projection? Akashic Records through an astral projection? Yes. Aunt Clair uses visualization of core images (you can pick an 'Akashic Record' core image from a series of images she has somewhere, either here or at the RoE site and meditate on them before you project (or as you go into trance) or ask any guides you have to take you there. I personally ask my guides- it's easier for me because I don't have to use any mental effort, and have gone to the teaching temples around there a few times.
