Default my first projection.
Ok so this was kinda a twist. I didn't expect to project so quickly after learning. It was only maybe about 1 min long but still. I projected by will yes .... but not exactly when I wanted too. I stayed in bed on my day off because I was sorta tired but I summoned energy through my natural skill, felt refreshed and attempted to project for oh about 3 hours... no success until I stoped trying and I felt that crazy jerking feeling it was fun I just pretended I was falling and spinning I could actualy feel the wind from me falling... the funny part was I projected through my bed since i was laying face down.... and I went through my bed without realizing it and I thought I had woken up and not projected at all and I was at the end of my bed.... but it wasnt my bed it was the room below mine... I am in the military so our barracks are stacked... well I saw what that guy was watching men in black lol... anyway I was sorta confused didn't actualy know where I was I felt strange kinda like a ghost and well I then got slammed back into my body and well... I got up and realized I didn't have a DVD player at the foot of my bed and I was like cool ok I just projected... went a floor down and saw the guys dvd player from which I saw when I projected .... sure enough it was men in black.... woot for me?

Congratulations on you success! It seems that you used "will less effort" to project as you succeeded after you "stopped trying." I remember reading that method from an excerpt from an AP book listed on Amazon.com.

I wonder if any one downstairs in the room where you projected to saw your astral body? Last night I think one of my astral arms projected out from my physical body as I was sleeping to pick up a bottle of tea. One of my cats that was sleeping near me quickly jumped up but then settled back down again, so I wonder if he has clairvoyance and was startled by my sudden astral movement?

From my own experience (and most every cat parent I know) [most of us think] cats can see energy. It's just one of the things they can do better than us. Other than moving really fast, almost flying, and letting you know what they think of you with one look.

your experience sounds like an RTZ (real-time zone) projection, which means that your consciousness separated from your body but remained in the physical realm. Astral is one of the other existent planes you can visit and also most likely to go to, if you are not a skilled traveler. Phazing is just one of a few techniques you can induce an astral projection, which is based upon focusing upon visualization. Through phazing, you don't feel the separation from your body, instead you are entering the images that you're seeing behind your closed eyes.

There is a stickied thread in the OBE research section called "How to Phase", or "Phasing made easy". It is specifically about this technique.
