okay so..it basically contradicts most of what i knew..and in fact, it isnt that amazing... its not something, admittedly, where i was like this is abbsolutely amazing and awe inspiring. It was very simply me messing around with expanding my consciousness. I just started University and, well im taking a math course i took in 10th grade so needless to say paying attention not mandatory. So with eyes open, looking at the notes, i decided to just try and be elsewhere. now ive been messing with this for a while. And i dunno what to describe it as. But basically i dont go through vibrations, i dont go through any spectacular..ness.. all i do is shift my consciousness away from my body and totally dissociate from it. And i'll actually forget about it even with my eyes open. and ill experience senses and anything i concentrate on in another body
So i did that in math class and just tried to picture myself being at my girlfriends house. And she was asleep in her bed and i sat with her and tried to kiss her. And i could actually feel it and it was pretty cool. And i could see her, it wasnt spectacularly vivid but i wasnt ENTIRELY dissociated from my body either. I just had my consciousness elsewhere. So eventually i decided, ill try and wake her up. Now i did this and some cool little sensations in my heart and stuff and neato things. And i came back to math class and i looked at the time. 948. it took me maybe a minute before it thought to check it. So at 1030 she texts me saying shes up. So i was naturally disappointed. But i decided to question anyways. I mentioned nothing of what i did. And upon questioning, she informed me she woke up and layed in bed for a couple minutes and once she decided to look at the time it was 950. So i asked how long was a couple minutes and she said maybe 2 or three. So then i asked if she had any weird dreams and she said none that she could remember, but when she woke up she felt very discombobulated and confused for some reason. So theres the very obvious coincidence explanation and im sure people could give me that. But ignoring that possibility i wanna know in what relation this could be to astral projection/mental projection/energy sending. Anything. I mean hell it could be nothing. But like from what i know of astral projection you get vibrateys and you have to be in deep conscious trance. Ive never deep conscious astral projected. But this one was so ordinary. And my theory is maybe its astral projection but seeing as im not dissociated from my body its just sending out a piece of the astral body which includes a piece of my consciousness with it. just enough to do little tricks. So CFTraveler im looking at you for answers, and anyone else wants some input/answers. And also, i know everyones path to astral projection is different. I also am aware that deep consciousness astral projection is probably more intense and vivid though feeling like a dream later on. So naturally i wanna let go and take my entire astral body and entire consciousness rather than just pieces. So if you all dont mind, an explanation of if what i did was even possible, and if it was, then some possible steps i might take to getting the full deep consciousness astral projection. Cuz ive had some trouble and this seems like it might be a doorway to bigger better things. I just dont know what to do with it or if its even right. |

Sounds like you did project awake.
Unfortunately I do it all the time, and frankly it's kind of annoying, because I have to be careful not to move or I'll get a mindsplit bilocation thing going. I guess it shows how boring the math class was. BTW, the more you project the less vibrations you get, so you may be there already. I don't have much advice, just confirmation. I suppose if you don't want the mindsplit then do it where it's quiet. But frankly, I get it even when it's quiet. Not much help, I know. The only thing I have to say is that when you start going to really far-out astral environments then the mindsplit pays off, because you just can do more stuff 'over there'. At least in my experience. To sum it up for anyone that is reading this: It seems to me when you start you have to be completely in deep trance, completely paralyzed to project (and you usually have strong symptoms.) And separation can be rough and traumatic. But far-out awesome. Then, as you progress, the projection happens earlier and earlier in the trance, the symptoms become much smoother, more vivid imagery, and the vibes either happen every once in a while. Then at some point you start experiencing bilocation and other bizarre effects, such as 'bringing the projection to your room' and 'sleeping inside a dream'. This is annoying. This is where you learn the joys of meditation. Then, as you progress more you start projecting awake and without being paralyzed. This is especially annoying if there are other stimuli in the room (like cats that decide to lick themselves while they're on your lap). This makes the projection especially difficult because you can be navigating in a sea of stars and start worrying you're going to drop the cat. Then she turns into a princess and tells you some important secret of the universe. Then you are jolted awake when she jumps off of you and kicks you in the stomach with her pointy little claws. This pretty much sums up the way it's been with me for the past 3-4 years. ![]() |

hahaha nice well thats comforting, but at the same time kinda not...like..i was expecting more is the thing..cuz, ive never even had the vibrations, nor the really intense..intensity. ive only had the mild things ive posted before...and its almost disappointing to think thats astral projection.i mean its vivid enough..but i do want the full seperation..i want the launch off of my body coupled with floating sensation and entire split...again ive never had that....i know this seems like a more intense technique but ...i dunno, i wanna be fully in that body..i see what you mean about the mindsplit being useful, i jsut wanna like immerse myself into a fully realistic world i guess...like again it was more than just imagination for sure...but..at the same time i was expecting more..i guess thats from doing an advanced technique earlier on... but i sure do hope im not like...unable to get the full experience...like i said i wanna get on a launch pad and blast away... this was just..it felt..partial you know

Well, in that case I suggest you do a lot of grounding exercises, in your meditations center on your base chakra, do 'hard work' type stuff (you know, working with the land, etc.) centering meditations, and when doing element work concentrate on the heavier elements (earth, water).
Then do all the energy work you can, and go for it. Who knows, maybe you will. Something you can do if you really want to experience vibrations, is (and that works even if you're not the 'vibration getting type, like me) is to practice Lucid Dreaming, get lucid in a dream, ask to go back to your body, and once you're aware of it, do the rope technique. This usually works, you should get the vibrations then. Good luck. |

this thread just reminded me of something that's happened a couple of times this summer..
when i've been sitting in the park, alone, reading, i've had fully awake "reality fluctuations" i was sitting under a tree one time, when the grass in front of me became un-solid. it looked almost liquid-ey. i noticed it and watched for a while as it rippled, like gentle waves. another time i was lying there, relaxed, just listening to the sounds of people talking, kids playing, dogs running around etc..when i had a short vision of my right foot, wearing different shoes (walking boots like i used to wear as a teenager). in this vision i dipped my toes forward, and a ripple appeared in reality. it reminded me of the scene in the matrix when Neo takes the pill, and the broken mirror becomes fluid. both times i was fully awake, just relaxed. i know this doesn't bring any light to your experience, ![]() i will say this tho - what CF says about lucid dreaming, then having exit experiences from there, is a great way to have those experiences. ![]() (especially if you're someone who finds they have less time on their hands than they'd like, and can't devote regular time to practising NEW every day) |
