I'm just getting myself back into energy work after what felt like a long episode of neg abuse. So bare with me, I'm still a newb to astral projecting! Most of the time, I try to project from a lucid dream. For what ever reason, my lucid dreams have become an all time low event. Something I would like to fix as well.
I got home early from work and I take a good nap. I'm actually wide awake now, but I think, you know, now is a good time as any to start practicing OBEing. So I get my lazy arse back into bed. So at this time, I am not sleepy at all. My goal was simple - just to get myself into sleep paralysis. I would be happy with that, because conscious sleep paralysis is something I struggle with. I waited and waited for any numbness, and it came and went the moment I became conscious of it. And came and went. And came and went. Like waves of numbness. Holding onto it was so hard, and I guessed because - the next phase is dreaming. But I'm not sleepy! Still I keep consciously trying - just stay still - relax - fall into sleep paralysis I give up!! This isn't going to work. Not sleepy! Can't work! I get out of bed, and go to the bathroom. I noticed my contact case was on the floor and all dirty. I pick it up, open it up and look inside...WOW. My contacts are HUGE. Like, HUUUGE. I pour liquid on them to clean them up. And I think. . .you know. These are freakishly huge. Is this normal? Wait a minute. . . . THEYRE BIGGER THAN MY EYES. I'm dreaming. I walk out the bathroom door and think, if this is a dream - fly. My reality check. I start to levitate from the ground. But I also felt another sensation. My body that was on my bed?? I could feel the bed. The pillow. The blanket. I'm not completely disconnected from body. As if I was playing in a hypnagogic illusion more than a dream. At that moment I was back in my bed, but still in the dreaming side. And I think, wow, this is my first real chance to try a real conscious OBE. I try to lift myself. And I feel my upper etheric torso lift from my body - what feels like a trail of vibrating energy behind it leading back to my body. but it doesn't work and I slam back into bed. I could really feel my bed now. I try to lift up, and instead I lift my real sleeping body instead. Now awake with a fuzzy headache ![]() the time that passed between falling asleep and waking - five minutes. very brief. I keep thinking that falling into sleep paralysis is really difficult if you're not sleepy! How wrong was I. I feel a little more confident now that I can follow the steps on this website. Just got to make sure I continue to my energy work ![]() |
